Shady Jeff:
Lets go right now!

J-Dog:
I look alive, I'm dead inside.
My heart has holes and black blood flows.
We'll do some drugs, we'll fall in love and
get fucked up while the world just shrugs.
With no thought logically.
We're wandering the streets so aimlessly.
I hate to see these kids just being put down so painlessly.
And people say you dye your hair and wear tight jeans,
that doesn't mean,
That you can't scream, or like loud noise,
you got a choice, you have a voice.
And just because you showed no love and hate on us,
you fucked our trust.
Now watch me thrust this Knife Called Lust
into my chest until it busts!

[Chorus]
Tha Producer:
This love, this hate
is burning me away. (Shady Jeff: is burning me away)
It's hard to face that we're all the same.
This love, this hate
is burning me away. (Shady Jeff: is burning me away)
It's harder times like these that never change.
(Shady Jeff: That never change)

Charlie Scene:
Mad at the fact your dad is an addict,
your friend takes pills, he thinks it cures sadness.
I'm not here to attack or make you kids panic,
but I just think it's tragic the way you kids have it.
And everybody sins and it all begins,
it goes back around, nobody ever wins.
And you stab yourself in the back, EVERYBODY JUST RELAX!
It all just hits so close to home,
we all got friends but we stand alone.
And your on your own from a broken home,
you keep the truth inside and it stays unknown.
Nostalgia hit and it's time to quit,
and everybody acts like it don't mean shit.
And your friend will stab you just to fuck some girl,
put your hands in the air and scream FUCK THE WORLD!!!

[Chorus]

[Bridge]
Charlie Scene:
Let go!
Tha Producer:
I'll bring you closer!
Charlie Scene:
Right now!
Tha Producer:
I'll hold on tightly!
Charlie Scene:
Let go!
Tha Producer:
We're going nowhere!
Charlie Scene:
Somewhere!
Tha Producer:
And things aren't over!
Tha Producer:
Harder times like these!
Tha Producer and Da Kurlzz and Shady Jeff:
Growing up on the streets!
Tha Producer:
Harder times like these!
Tha Producer and Da Kurlzz and Shady Jeff:
Will put you back on your feet!

[Chorus]

[Ending]
Tha Producer:
This love, this hate is burning me away
Charlie Scene:
And I fall to the ground with my teardrops.
And I get lost every time my heart stops.
(x2)

This love, this hate, is burning me away!

    My Interpretation

I do believee this song means: It is basically about damaged youth and how although they appear to be living the life of a youth in the end the life of teens or youth is a dangerous trap that some peoplle make it out alive wich i believe they are try to say " When the world just shrugs" and some do not. They are always going to be people to decieve you or bring you into the hidden trap called lust that in the end with stab you in the back cause once you realize you are in the trap of lust , it is kinda hard to come back out, so then you are left with no one but yourself, you are not only damaged, you are messed up and, lonley and in the end I guess we are all like that in some way.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
