Remember when I dove
Into the crowd
And I got a bloody knee
Under my skin
A mark from wiping out
It brings back the memories
Every bone's been broken
And my heart is still wide open

I can't stop
Don't care if I lose
Baby you are the weapon I choose
These wounds are self inflicted
I'm going down in flames for you
Baby you are the weapon I choose
These wounds are self inflicted
One more thing I'm addicted too

With each scar there's a map
That tells a story
What a souvenir of Young
Love's like jumping out
An airplane riding a tidal
Wave on an ocean of emotion
My heart rips me wide open

I can't stop
Don't care if I lose
Baby you are the weapon I choose
These wounds are self inflicted
I'm going down in flames for you
Baby you are the weapon I choose
These wounds are self inflicted
One more thing I'm addicted too

And I cover up these scars
(We'll make it we'll make it
But we break it)
And I can't stop seeing stars
(Lets hope not die)
Whenever you're around
Around

I can't stop
Don't care if I lose
Baby you are the weapon I choose
These wounds are self inflicted
I'm going down in flames for you
Baby you are the weapon I choose
These wounds are self inflicted
One more thing I'm addicted too

I can't stop no I can't stop
No I can't stop
Oh I'm going out in flames
Oh I'm going down in flames
Oh
Baby you are the weapon I choose
Baby you are the weapon I choose

the guy she was with hurt her so much, she's left with so many scars from their pervious relationship but she loves him so much, she doesnt care if the relationship doesnt work she wants him again and again. he's her "weapon" because he hurts her.

The line "We’ll make it we’ll make it but we break it" indicates that this isn't their first time getting back together.

well my oppinion on the song is different from all yours but,,

i think its about cutting yourself. self inflicted wounds? the cutts. choosing your wepon? love, representing the razor. brings back memories? of why she did it. addicted too? once you do it, it becomes addicting. evry SCAR has a story? of why you did it. covering the scars? dont care if i loose?

really must i go on with this because i think i made my piont here. but i think its about cutting so thats my oppinion so take that how you want.

Haha ok. This is what I think it means, Im probably totally wrong but whatever.

I think it means that she will choose the guy no matter what, "I cant stop, dont care if i lose."she realizes that their relationship will only be in the good in the way that they love each other. she knows that itll mess everything else up hence "im going down in flames for you."

i dont know. thats just what i think.

Awesome song. I think this song means that she's going to take a chance on love, and if it doesn't work out then she created the wounds, but she won't let past heartaches get in her way of finding love.

i really think this song is about a girl that's not with the guy. they fuck but there's nothing more than that. she know what she's in for but the feeling is so good that the reprecutions are wounds that eventually leave scars...

I can’t stop Don’t care if I lose< to know what it feels like is bittersweet bc u get what u want but then you feel the aftershock and it makes the situation not just feel like a weapon but also a drug...one that u can't get enough of...and no matter how much u get u still want more. katie

I don't agree with GodsGunsAndGlory, because one line talks about young love, and hs esays "baby' a lot, which I doubt is religious in this situation.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
