You leave her black and blue
You’re like a thumb screw
She's had enough of you
Can you feel it?

The things you put her through
The things that dogs do
It's time for something new
Can you feel it?

The day of reckoning's finally here
Because things aren't always as they appear
And though you always controlled The Game
You should know what happens when you play with flames...

She's a girl on fire
She's a girl on fire...
She's a girl on fire
Spare a penny for the guy and throw him on the pyre
She's a girl on fire
She's a girl on fire...
She's a girl on fire
Spare a penny for the guy and throw him on the pyre

You leave a nasty taste
The taste of human waste
She wants her own space
Can you feel it?

She was a holy place
You chose to debase
You won’t be saving face
Can you feel it?

Every woman is somebody's daughter
But your nemesis will show no quarter
Your lies were just a will o' the wisp
Now Cinder's gonna burn you to a crisp...

She's a girl on fire
She's a girl on fire...
She's a girl on fire
Spare a penny for the guy and throw him on the pyre
She's a girl on fire
She's a girl on fire...
She's a girl on fire
Spare a penny for the guy and throw him on the pyre

General CommentThis is my second favorite song on the CD "Rat Candy". The music is heavy and it actually is a song sticking up for women who have been abused.
