FOREVER LOVE X-JAPAN

Needles are piercing through my skin
I'll tell you the feeling what it's like
Is life just all about deception?
Please don't be a part of a fairy tale,
But you're so young to play with thy own will
Should I trade the breath of my life for freedom?

(In the rain) I'm calling you, dear
(Find the way) Can't you see me standing right here?
(Feel my pain) Life's bleeding from fear
(Find its place) I will give it straight from my vein

Needles are piercing through my skin
I don't fear the fucking life
This never meant I can't sit by
They say as if it takes me somewhere
Just let me swallow the faith by injection
Life better be rushing to my head, my love
I've played with this game before to find a piece of my true self!
I'm lost within!

(In the rain) I'm calling you, dear
(Find the way) Can't you see me standing right here?
(Feel my pain) Life's bleeding from fear
(Find its place) I will give it straight from my vein

I.V. in my vein
Do you feel where's it's vein
Can you stick with then mystery of the world,
And when it's so far from its blind?
Till the shape of shadows fade
Forever fade away

I'm calling you, dear.
Can't you see me standing right here?
Life's bleeding from fear.
I'll give it straight from my vein.

(In the rain) I'm calling you, dear
(Find the way) Can't you see me standing right here?
(Feel my pain) Life's bleeding from fear
(Find its place) I will give it straight from my vein]

I'm pretty sure this song is about hide, not a girl. Read the lyrics again (even though some of them are wrong) while thinking of hide, you'll see it.

Also, in the Film clip, I believe that is hide on the screen. Yes, the guitar does represent hide, as he is still a member of X Japan. It is his guitar, too. just thought i'd leave my thoughts. xx

I have never - NEVER - heard a new song that was exactly what I need in music at that time. I got it through Rock Band 2, thought it was decent, then d/l'ed it... With each listen, it affected me more and more, and a littel differently each time. I have a lot of music, but never has one song stood out so much, like other posters here, I fell in love with music again. Once I went through the lyrics, my understanding of the song has taken new light. It affects me so personally, it's as though it was written for me. I don't just relate to it, I connect. And not knowing much about X Japan before listening to this song, the history behind it is amazing, the feeling from the song is so goddamn real. If you can try finding the Hide Memorial show X Japan did, (try torrents to find it), I never thought I could be moved as much as I was by it.

This song has to be one of the best regret songs i have ever heard. I know, because what im going through, and what i feel, matches this perfectly. The whole meaning of the song lies in the chorus.

[I'm calling you, dear. Can't you see me standing right here? Life's bleeding from fear. I'll give it straight from my vein.]

In his way, hes regreting whatever he did to make her leave him, and wonders if she even cares about him. He would do anything at all to have her back! Ever since, he cant find himeslf. He dosent know where he's going, or what will happen, but his longing and need for her drives him. This is my take on the song.

To me, this song is about a girl who leaves this guy for some reason, but he can't let her go. He starts taking drugs to still his pain from the heartache, like the song's titel I.v. (Intravenous). His feelings for everything are blunt and he can't see no reason to live without this girl. That's why he doesn't fear life 'cause he wouldn't care if he died and all he wants is to make her see how he's suffering and make her take him back.

    A little change also,

"I.V. in my pain, do you feel where it's been Can you strip away the history of the world, and when it's so far from its life can a shape of the shadow fade, forever fade away"

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

No Surprises

Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
