"Ride With Me" as written by and Kyle D./williams Sanders....
The killer awoke before dawn
He put his boots on
He took a face from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the hall
He went into the room where his sister lived and he
He paid a visit to his brother and then he
He walked on down the hall, yeah
And he came to a door
And he looked inside
Father? Yes son? I want to kill you
He said what?
And mother? I want to

I want to fuck you
For what you put me through
So what you got
So fuck you
It's coming back to you
So what you got

The other night I was out riding in a friend's car
And out there on the side of the road
There was this snake
This snake had eyes of fire and fangs from another world
But he was selling something
He was selling devotion
He was selling dreams, he was selling lifestyles
And I said sure man what you got
I'm interested in anything that's gonna get me off
And the snake just stood there and smiled with the spit in his eye and cried

Fuck you
For what you put me through
So what you got
So fuck you
It's coming back to you
So what you got

He was selling dreams and he was selling lies
I met the prisoner of my own device
He was selling love, he was selling bliss
He sold me anything, I could not resist
Ride with me
Ride with me
Ride with me
Ride with me

I had the freedom to live how I wanted
To take what I wanted to take
From anyone at any time
Forever in heartache
As the snake just stood there and smiled
At my demise
I wasn't scared

So fuck you
For what you put me through
So what you got
So fuck you
For what you put me through
So what you got

    General CommentStrange song this one.

To me it seems to be about karma, and things coming back to people who have done wrong.

    A revenge song I guess.

General CommentKickass song and really interesting bit of trivia about it for fans of The Doors is, this song is basically Based on The End. If ya don't believe me, check it out.

The first like 15 seconds I caught it.
I personally think it's fuckin' kick that they took sections from it, and turned it into a whole song like they did.
Kudos to the guys in bloodsimple.

General CommentThis entire song is not just based only on "The End" by The Doors but is borrowed from other doors songs, with added original parts that borrow from other Doors songs.

The introduction is "The End". The "Ride with me" sections are borrowed from "Celebration of the Lizard" where Jim says "Run with me".

The verses are references to "Riders on the storm".

    First verse:

"The other night I was out riding in a friend's car
And out there on the side of the road
    There was this snake
This snake had eyes of fire and fangs from another world
    But he was selling something
    He was selling devotion
He was selling dreams, he was selling lifestyles
And I said sure man what you got
I'm interested in anything that's gonna get me off
And the snake just stood there and smiled with the spit in his eye and cried"

"Theres a killer on the road
His brain is squirmin like a toad
    Take a long holiday
    Let your children play
If ya give this man a ride
    Sweet memory will die
    Killer on the road, yeah"

Ditto for the second verse, only:

"Girl ya gotta love your man
Girl ya gotta love your man
    Take him by the hand
    Make him understand
    The world on you depends
    Our life will never end
    Gotta love your man, yeah"

The final verse is "Universal Mind".

    "I was doing time
    In the universal mind
    I was feeling fine
I was turning keys I was setting people free
    I was doing all right

    Then you came along
With a suitcase and a song
    Turned my head around
    Now Im so alone
    Just looking for a home
    In every place I see"

Basically, it's a tribute to parts of Doors songs.

My OpinionThis song is clearly about writing in a way that makes no fucking sense, because it's easier to do that then to write something intelligible.
