Ya risuyu chornoi kraskoi. Na stene tupoyo slovo.
Dlya menya ono ne vazhno. Dlya tebya ono ne novo.
Dlya menya ono naprasno. Dlya tebya neobhodimo.
Ya risuyu chornoi kraskoi. Ya risuyu krivo-krivo...

Pulya v serdtsa. Mozg na dvertsu
Nimb i kryl'ya. Odevayem belyi plashik.
Dushu v neba. Slozhim v yashik.
Otpuskayem...

Vremya snova 20:10 (dvadtsat' disyat').
My s toboi seichas ne vmiste.
Ty sidish' v uglu i plachosh'.
Mozhot byt' minya durachish'.
Ya lublyu tibya poslushat'
Raskryvai mni tol'ko dushu.
Mysli zdes' ne prigodyat'sya.
Vremya snova dvadtsat' dvadtsat'

{Translation}
I’m drawing with black paint
A dumb word on the wall
This word is not important for me
This word is not new for you
It's vain for me
It's necessary for you
I’m drawing with black paint
I'm drawing crookedly

Bullet in the heart
Brain on the door
Nimb and wings
We’re putting on
This white robe
Soul to heaven
We put it in a box
We let it go

Time is 20:10 again
We're not together now
You’re sitting in the corner and crying
Maybe you’re fooling me
I enjoy listening to you
Open only your soul to me
Thoughts won't be needed here
The time is 20:20 again

Can't wait till the movie comes out! {Don't care about the movie, just want the CDs} I think the song's about secret planning, or destroying each other's sensitivities & actually loving it. The song's evil in a way... "You’re sitting in the corner and crying Maybe you’re fooling me I enjoy listening to you Open only your soul to me"

But then again, it kinda reminds me of being stuck between heaven... "Bullet in the heart Brain on the door Nimb and wings We’re putting on This white robe Soul to heaven" ...& hell. "You’re sitting in the corner and crying

I enjoy listening to you Open only your soul to me"

    The damn song's complicated.

this song is actually a statement against abortion. i read it on a magazine article where Lena explains it.

This song is about communication...or rather a lack of it? I have to admit, I don't get the video at all, though, so whatever the song means, this can't be all of it...

The chorus is what really speaks to me.

In a world of violence ("bullet in the heart") and senselessness ("brain on the door"), it's often the innocent who have to die for the purpose of exposing those who are guilty. In the video, Lena is a prostitute and yet gets to live, while Yulia dies just for being pregnant. "We'll put it in a box, we'll set it free" might be what the firing squad is doing, though of course they don't see it in that kind of light.

this song was written by a t.A.T.u fan i read, from the forums. I like the remix, although i can barely sing along to the words (not being english) i really do love it better than the other versions. I had no idea Lena was a prostitute in the video? wow. The video was meant to show a message of how violence and murder are wrong, and that abortion is basically that.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
