I hate to say it's been a good time
But I'd be lying if I said it wasn't true
I hate say we've had a good run
But I'd be lying if I said it's 'cause of you

Well I'll be damned if there's another man to take my place
Well I'll be damned if there's another man
A better man, but you
You, you got to get out of here
You' You got to get out of here
Out of here

Yea I got nothing to lose
'Cept maybe my keys and my shoes
You've got nothing better to do
And I've got nothing to lose

I hate to say it's been a long road
It was long and hard and troublesome, it's true
I hate to say that I've been here before
But I'd be lying if I said it's 'cause of you

Well I'll be damned if there's another man to take my place
Well I'll be damned if there's another man
A better man, but you
You, you got to get out of here
You' You got to get out of here
Out of here

Yea I got nothing to lose
'Cept maybe my keys and my shoes
You've got nothing better to do
And I've got nothing to lose

You've got to get out of here
You, you've got to get out of here

Yea I got nothing to lose
'Cept maybe my keys and my shoes
You've got nothing better to do
And I've got nothing to lose

I hate to say it's been a good time
But I'd be lying if I said it wasn't true

General CommentYeah, it seem to be a cheating song. Or it could be about a controlling relationship. He is trying to convince himself that he has nothing to lose by leaving her or cheating. But then he contradicts himself and says it's been a good time. He doesn't want to leave, but he knows the girl should go. He doesn't want to see her with someone else though.
