"Spanish Town" as written by and Matthew Mark Mchugh....
Got no money left
Threw it all away
Went down to Mexico
Tried to escape the rains
But every time I see you
I still feel the same
Been down so long
Some things never change

But one day I know
I will be back again
I'll be back in Spanish town, my friend

Remember Red Church Street
And drinking wine all day?
And how we used to meet down Prison Oval way?
The days grow longer, longer we're away
From that place that lonely music plays

But one day I know
I will be back again
I'll be back in Spanish town, my friend

But one day I know
I will be back again
I'll be back in Spanish town, my friend
I'll be back in Spanish town, my friend
I'll be back in Spanish town, my friend

General CommentI love this song, such a peppy tune.
im not to sure about the lyrics but it seems to be someone whos maybe homesick and wants to just go back to their hometown and relive all the glory days though he knows he cant. (Remember Red Church Street And drinking wine all day?)

i dunno it just seems right.
