Got so much salt from your lies poured into me
You didn't see yourself dead already
So full of it with every breath that you breathe

But you forget that in your fairy tale I'm the wolf
All this attention got you thinking that you're a queen
You think that everything you're doing isn't a dream
Long as it feels alright

I had gotten frozen by the way you walked
By the love that you gave, by that look on your face
It's a cover up, I know everything

I had gotten frozen by the way you walked
By the love that you gave, by that look on your face
It's a cover up, I know everything, I know everything

You're made for four letter fame
Regret is part of your name
It's something you couldn't tell
It's what you wanted to feel
It's what you're dying to feel

Checkout your face on the wall, like what you see?
I'm sure you see yourself, oh, so unique
You're just a sucker for the flame of the week

But you forget that in your fairy tale, bitch I'm the wolf
All this attention got you thinking you were a queen
You thought that everything in life [Incomprehensible]
Nothing is what you think

I had gotten frozen by the way you walked
By the love that you gave, by that look on your face
It's a cover up, I know everything

I had gotten frozen by the way you walked
By the love that you gave, by that look on your face
It's a cover up, I know everything, I know everything, I know everything

You're made for four letter fame
Regret is part of your name
It's something you couldn't tell
It's what you wanted to feel
It's what you're dying to feel

You're made for four letter fame
Regret is part of your name
It's something you couldn't tell
It's what you wanted to feel
It's what you're dying to feel

You're made for four letter fame
Regret is part of your name
It's something you couldn't tell
It's what you wanted

You're made for four letter fame
Regret is part of your name
It's something you couldn't tell
It's what you wanted to feel
It's what you're dying to feel

You're made for four letter fame
Regret is part of your name
It's something you couldn't tell
It's what you wanted to feel
It's what you're dying to feel

Are you saying that beastly hulk is emo? :D No, but seriously these are some fine lyrics, not really deep, but well written about a girl that he... well let's say he doesn't like her much. The first line you quoted is awesome. Obviously this isn't your average dillinger song, some may be disappointed but i like the way the entire new album fits together, and it shows these are great musicians comfortable playing anything and I admire them for that.

I think this song is sort of based around the image that a popular girl in school builds for herself. Since she's popular she feels that she needs to date the captain of the football team, etc. The guy dating her, however, really just lusts for her and she doesn't realize that the feeling is not mutual. "But you forget that in your fairy tale I'm the wolf All this attention got you thinking that you're a queen" He's a wolf, a predator for her. She thinks since she has been paid attention to with the other popular guy that she is living the high life.

Why does every good band turn into another shitty one that writes songs about "girls they don't like"?

I like this song, very real in its delivery. and BTW saviorsalvation213, a band is not shitty if it writes about issues that are important to them.

Wow. I have to admit, these guys can write some catchy-as-fuck songs as well as some of the most aggressive tunes in extreme music. I guess that's why I like bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan. Versatility.

    Whine more

I know what I'm sick of is people who try saying what a band's place is. "Sorry guys, but you can't write and play songs like this, because it isn't you" Nice job

yep, I'll be whining while your listeing to this half ass garbage instead of their real shit. You wanna hear a band that released a good heavy fucking cd last year, check out Summer of Wolves by The Minor Times. Makes this shit look like Pete Wentz's dirty shorts. Although the vocalist already kinda took care of that with this song.

Summer of Wolves was decent. No offense. Like it was okay, but not something to be going around comparing things to like its the best thing ever to exist. How about you go and find someone who actually likes Dillinger Escape Plan in a mall or something and say something like that to them, right?? It would be a much better use of your time than complaining over the internet. I mean if you want to bitch here, why not for real?? Hopefully someone will hit you or something. ^-^

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
