"Happy Guy" as written by and Mike Burkett....
He's just a man getting through life the best he can
He's a not a scientist, he programs a computer
Before that he sold cars to pay a student loan now he receives
Pity

From his family, his friends say how could he
Turn his back on on reason worshiping
A God finding truth through fear and mind control
He's just a man trying to explain how
He found the word of God could make his life seem less insane
So he shares what he's read, what he understands, it makes
Sense to him, it makes perfect sense to him, in fact
He's never seen so clearly

Turned his back on free will, has he lost his mind?
He'd rather kneel down than take charge of his life
And he knows what people think, but it dosen't sway him
He can read the writings on the wall
'Cause he knows how people treat, how they treat each other
A sacrifice to benefit the all

Don't try to judge him, his theological ideas
His hopes may be false but his happiness is real
Don't try to judge him, he's just a man

General CommentLove this song, I think it's about a guy who gave up all his possesions and just follows the word of God. And basically I think there trying to say at the end just let him do what he feels is right and don't judge him for what he believes in...

NOFX wrote this when they was tolerate of Relgion, now they fucking HATE relgion, fair play.

General CommentFor some reason for a while I thought instead of "before that he sold cars" it said "Before that he sold DOS" so I thought it was about the dude that sold Bill Gates the DOS OS for 50 grand, which then made Bill Gates a very rich fuck...funny.

General CommentPersonally I dont think they have ever liked religion...
But anyways, yeah the song is about a guy, who finds god, and it makes him happy. And if it makes him happy, who cares. even if we think it's a pile of shit. One of the best songs on this albumn, can't believe only 2 comments

General Commentthey dont HATE religion, thats what this song is about. how they think he might be a fool for believing, but they accept him. Advocating hate on religion is just as bad as religion advocating hate. If it makes him happy, then why should they or anyone else care? btw, im athiest

General CommentBefore I became Christian I was a pretty big fan of NOFX, and I still like them though I do hold some reservations now. I agree wiith Heimlich. They personally are non-beleivers, and may think people are fools for following religion, but in the end they are accepting and in today's society, that is a beautiful thing.

There's a typo I think - instead of "his theologian ideas", I think it's "his theological ideals". One of their best songs, I love this one.
