"Midnight Train" as written by and Billy Robertson....
Midnight train, come take me
Far away from here
I'm running from the rain
Looking for some place clear

Holding on for dear life all night
Waiting for the early light

And all this time
I'm wandering sea to sea
Nothing in the world
Except for me

All this time
Running away from you
Nothing much else to do
But wonder if you're running, too

General Commenti think that the singer is trying to get away from his/her problem.
'i'm running from the rain, looking for some place clear'
-means that whatever he/she is running from is depressing and they are looking for a better setting.
the depression must be hurting the person and the singer really wants to keep living from the lyrics 'holding on for dear life, waiting for the early light.'
the singer is going, going, going, and in the midst of it all they are hoping their loved one might be coming with them too.

i think this song is pretty, it's one of my favorites by them :)
