The day that we
Took out a car in the rain
Is the day you forgot how to
Brake and see
How quickly the picture will change
Filled with fingers and voices and teeth
I still remember holding my hand
Against your face just before it was sprayed
Across the radio
As it played

And you and me
Are still but the scenery moves
Well why would it stop just 'cause
Suddenly
There's one where there used to be two
And everything's quiet but yo
Looks like the speaker lived through the blow
Still playing some compilation you made
Feels like a lifetime sitting alone
So I start humming along to the tape

I always liked this singer
I remember how you were the one who told me that her name
Was either mia
Or m.i.a.

And I am thinking
How many hours till I'm home
How long do I stay in this place
Who's going to wash all the blood from my clothes
Who's gonna cancel my date
Who's gonna cancel my date

And I think
I always liked this singer
I remember how you were the one who told me that her name
Was either mia

And I think
I always liked this singer
I remember how you were the one who told me that her name
Was either mia
Or m.i.a.

And the day that we
Took out a car in the wet
I thought to myself that the sky was blue
As I've ever seen it but yet
Still tinted with red

Right this is probably kinda far out but bear with me - everyone's saying they like how literal her lyrics are and this goes against it so i'm probably wrong! I think perhaps she's cheating on her boyfriend/husband/whatever and he's rammed the car off the road when he's found out... I'll try to explain - i thought the lines "who's gonna cancel my date" (repeated) and "you forgot how to brake" were kind of odd. If you take "date" in the sense of man meets woman to go out - i wouldn't have thought you'd refer to a long term couple going on one of these dates, and even if you would, if your dating partner was lying dead next to you i doubt you'd think "i need to cancel"? Perhaps she had already arranged to meet another man? Then the line "you forgot how to brake" is suspect in that it doesn't say "you swerved" or "skidded" it says "you forgot" as though he should have been braking and it was obvious he should be doing so, but for whatever reason chose not to. As i say, probably too overly analytical - but it was the only explanation i could come up with to satisfy my stupid theories...

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
