have known you my whole life
When you were ten, you said you'd make me your wife
Eight years later you won me over
Just as I took the world on my shoulders

I got used to living without you
Endless phone calls and dreaming about you
Always said that you were my man to be
But I guess I was in love with your memory

You know I love you, I really do
But I can't fight anymore for you
And I don't know, maybe we'll be together again
Sometime, in another life
In another life

I know I said that I would keep my word
I wished that I could save you from the hurt
But things will never go back to how we were
I'm sorry I can't be your world

You know I love you, I really do
But I can't fight anymore for you
And I don't know, maybe we'll be together again
Sometime, in another life
In another life

The way you're holding on to me
Makes me feel like I can't breathe
Just let me go, just let me go
It just won't feel right inside
God knows I've tried

You know I love you, I really do
But I can't fight anymore for you
And I don't know, maybe we'll be together again
Sometime, in another life
In another life

In another life, in another life

In another life

She was in love with her childhood friend and they promised when they got older, they're marry each other but that promise was broken and now she's saying that she does love him but she cant fight for him, meaning she's not waiting for him anymore but her love will always be there for him.

This is my fav on the album!

Its for Jess's ex Steve. She had known him for ages but never got together because they were always with different people, but just before she moved to America (to become The Veronicas) they FINALLY got together. I remember reading interviews when they were together saying that they'd always call each other and stuff and how hard it was keeping a long distance relationship. And i guess Jess was the one who broke it off and is telling Steve that know matter what happens she still loves him.

I was reading a interview and apparently when Jess was recording this she kept crying, so they did it like 20 times just to get it right. Then she sent it to Steve (who was ignoring her at the time), he heard it and loved it.

    Now there just friends

This song is deff about Steve, I came across his lyrics the other day and found this; "When's another life. Cause i heard that in her own song, she cries, and her tears get my hopes up everytime."

    Makes me cry everytime!

Omgosh i absolutely love the veronicas! this song is amazing, every time i listen to it i cry especially when i hear jess' little sniffle towards the end! their so cute! and they did a fantastic job of it at their concert! This song is actually about one of jess' ex-boyfriends, the lyrics kinda say it all, not much to explain :) See ya 'round xx

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
