"Come To Life" as written by Myles Kennedy and Mark / Tremonti....
Hey
Tore away the veil of weakness
The enemy now lies beneath us
I think we're safe

Hey
Won't be held down any longer
No disgrace and no dishonor
Keep us chained

There's nothing we should have to fear
It's alright
We've come to life

We'll never shed another tear
It's alright
We've come to life

Hey
The bulletproof are so resilient
To every fool with an opinion
They never break

By the way
We scream to find a reason
Never doubt or stop believing
And escape

There's nothing we should have to fear
It's alright
We've come to life

Now wicked tongues can speak
And rewrite history
But you can't keep the truth contained
And like this song was sung
Just realize we're one
And don't forget we're here to stay

There's nothing we should have to fear
It's alright
We've come to life

General CommentMore for me a song about AB growing into a band of its own, and breaking from the creed label.

Used to be a line it it that went, "I am not your new Messiah, and I will not take you higher". Almost explains itself.

General CommentMy favorite song on the album! The riff is so simple, yet so rocking. The entire album in general shows off their heavier side that was hinted at in the debut, and I'm grateful for it.

As for the meaning of this song? It's pretty straightforward, I think. The song is just about victory and being victorious in general. Come to life and overcome any problems or obstacles in your days!

General Commentit's one of my favorites too. i've heard it before the album was released and it was awesome.

And btw Chris Cornell sucks. he ruined two great band (Soundgarden & Audioslave) for his selfishness.
he could be a "pop artist" long ago before destroying them and then express "musical differences" as his porpuse. this is so pathetic and i don't buy that story for a sec. I mean if he wanted to cover MJ songs, why should he even put himself in rock world? I'm sure he is suffering from Narcism.

General Commentthis song kicks ass! not my favorite, but definately my 2nd fav. It seems to me to be a song about changing your old life, and starting a new. (or is that "brand new start?)

General CommentYeah, I've read somewhere about what B2J posted (in a CD review I think). Definitely glad that they didn't include that line--it would have ruined the song/made it sound cheesy. I love Alter Bridge, but I really don't get why so many people hate Creed.
