since before i peeped the theory from the low end
water deep three feet high and risin
before i started smokin
now it's smoke to my nose and eyes when
i stop to realize where this ride went
was it just the eyes of my youth
like the coupe she keeps passin me by in
went from straight up suicide to suicide we scrutinized it
who remembers your walkman
hopin there's still juice to rewind it
knowin you knew the whole shit through and used to flip it through the silence
faded tapes that faded away
truth the desecrated grave she lies in
they never reminisced when she crossed over to the other side
it was a black sunday with a black moon on the horizon
outcasted so the setting of the sun beefed with its risin
ladies met brendas baby a ray of hope to take some pride in
clear blue skies but aint sure whos side it was that euthanised it
but aint the devil happy as fuck
just saw her daddy get bucked
and laughed it up in the magazines that they’d never ride in
plugged her uncle with the same gat
that she snapped at her daddy's light with

this crap saved my life and my soul
so many times that i know
there wasn’t any sign of light in this hole
for every rhyme that’d take flight from my soul
just know that there’s at least 5 sittin behind us spittin from the writers of old

she was such a good child i don't get it
how she went from poor righteous teachins to hit the road to the riches
admidst the hos and the bitches
its like a whole different misses
i ponder on the shortys around and how they drowd in her driftins
as im sippin this crown buggin
bout the sound
and how what they missin
is that shit without the glam and the glitz and its glistenin
now its the cameras pick
explicit amateurs with canter to spit
when we were fans of the shit we had cause
and aint a man can tell me different
when shut em down just got you open
and krs just made us listen
we had it made and paid in full
now we're the bullshit rendition of rick the rulers and dreses
hip hop hooray with the fishes
just into jewelers and dressers
misused the message to get it
shit was schooling or reppin
now it's forget it or dead it
this new shits like a fool with a weapon lettin loose at his wedding
kinetic proof in his love so now this love's gonna get him
his pathetic excuse for prophetic
just to profess his concessions
she blessed my life with her strife without an honorable mention
how long can man dance on her flesh
until his god resurrects it

this crap saved my life and my soul
so many times that i know
there wasn’t any sign of light in this hole
for every rhyme that’d take flight from my soul
just know that there’s at least 5 sittin behind us spittin from the writers of old

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
