"Enjoy the Ride Feat. Judy Tzuke" as written by Judie Tzuke, Paul Corfield Godfrey and Ross Charles Godfrey....
You shut the gates at sunset
After that you can't get out
You can see the bigger picture
Find out what it's all about

You're open to the skyline
You won't wanna go back home
In a garden full of angels
You will never be alone

But oh, the road is long
The stones that you are walking on
Have gone

With the moonlight to guide you
Feel the joy of being alive
The day that you stop running
Is the day that you arrive

And the night that you got locked in
Was the time to decide
Stop chasing shadows, just enjoy the ride

If you close the door to your house
Don't let anybody in
It's a room that's full of nothing
All that underneath your skin

Face against the window
You can't watch it fade to gray
And you'll never catch the fickle wind
If you choose to stay

But oh, the road is long
The stones that you are walking on
Have gone

With the moonlight to guide you
Feel the joy of being alive
The day that you stop running
Is the day that you arrive

And the night that you got locked in
Was the time to decide
Stop chasing shadows, just enjoy the ride
Stop chasing shadows, just enjoy the ride

With the moonlight to guide you
Feel the joy of being alive
The day that you stop running
Is the day that you arrive

And the night that you got locked in
Was the time to decide
Stop chasing shadows, just enjoy the ride

With the moonlight to guide you
Feel the joy of being alive
The day that you stop running
Is the day that you arrive

And the night that you got locked in
Was the time to decide
Stop chasing shadows, just enjoy the ride
Stop chasing shadows, just enjoy the ride
Stop chasing shadows, just enjoy the ride
Stop chasing shadows, just enjoy the ride
Stop chasing shadows, just enjoy the ride

General CommentIt's a very good song, but I don't know why I always feel sad after listening to it. Meaning of it is pretty simple for me. Life's too short, so make the best out of it and don't look back to often "chasing shadows" (of the past). Care about the important things.

General CommentWhile optimistic, it is indeed a very sad song.
I don't think the shadows are the past, I rather think that the sun (because of the sunsent) is behind me and my shadow is in front of me. So there might be other shadows. Then the "stop chasing shadows" could be "focus on the *real* things", not the illusions.

    Beautiful song, beautiful album.

General CommentThe producer Paul Godfrey said: "It’s a beautiful song, one of our very best, and it's about accepting who you are in the moment and not trying to distract yourself with everything else – gaining a new understanding of yourself and life."

General Commentyou know the intro of this song, sounds a bit like the intro of 'All I Need' by Air, I was just listening to them side by side, and couldn't help but notice the similarity. anyway this a great song

General CommentIndeed it is a sad song. When i 1st hear this song, it was wonderful..very very very good song, but what impress me very much is the lyrics and the song meaning.

I understand this song a bit differently from what ive read here. It is more about the life, and everything we are doing in it. enjoy the ride..life is beautiful as it is..do not think so low and bother with so many problem..just to try to live the life in the nature with every beauty that this world offers...dont chase shadows...just live and enjoy in every day...

at least i understand it that way
