It's strange today
That I awoke and that you stayed forever
Asleep

It pains to say
That I don't know how I feel this way
with out you
But i'm with out you
And i'm afraid

ohohoh
ohohoh

It's strange Today
That I awoke and that you stayed forever
Asleep

It strange today
I sware today that I was going to call you
And say I love you
I did love you

Did you know? Did you know?
Did you know? Did you know?

ohohoh, Did you know?
ohohoh, Did you know?

It's strange today
That I awoke and that you stayed forever
asleep

General CommentThis song is about moving on from a relationship. Notice the first verse he says it's strange that he moves and "you" doesn't. and then he doesn't know how he feels without "you." In the second verse though he says something that comes out at first as mean and sarcastic but when you take a closer look its just a train of thought. He meant to call "you" and tell "you" that he loves "you." Then he switches to the past tense and says he DID love "you." So what I get is that he's upset because he obviously still has feeling about whoever "you" is but not feelings as intense as love. And to end it with that he moves on and "you" stay asleep is just reaffirming that he in fact has moved on and is getting better.

General CommentI think that you're on the right track. But I think it's more about a relationship he was in where his lover died. "that I awoke and that you stayed forever asleep" a.k.a dead. And how he was going to call her to tell her he loved her but she died and he did love her but now he can't. So now he's with out her, and he's afraid.

    General CommentActually Scarlet is correct.

I heard this song on a TV show on ABC and I searched for it online because I have heard it before and fell in love with it. I found Jeremy Larson and conversed with him through the internet and asked him for the lyrics because he was still working on his album and I couldn't find much on him or his songs.

The song is really about a friend of his who had a family member had passed away. I initially thought this song was about a heart break also but it's really about Death. I chatted with him about the meaning of this song because it is still my favorite song to listen to on repeat for hours.

I love his sound, lyrics and humbleness. Check out his album self titled Jeremy Larson. He's brilliant!
