This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
Nobody knows everything
We know this to be true
Everything is difficult except what's in front of you
But it's complicated even under your nose
Bullshit math equations
Your highs and your lows
And your manic depression
It comes and it goes
Your parasympathetic nervous system reacts
And you're in fight or flight mode
How's the world so small when the world is so large?
And what made the world
Could I please speak to who's in charge?
Everything is real
But it's also just as fake
From your daughter's birthday party
To your grandmother's wake
And your bipolar illness
It comes and it goes
Your parasympathetic nervous system reacts
And you're in fight or flight mode
I've tried to know which words to sing so many times
I tried to know which chord to play
And I tried to make it rhyme
I tried to find the key that all good songs are in
And I tried to find that notes to make that great, resounding din
But there's a bad man in everyone
No matter who we are
There's a rapist and a Nazi living in our tiny hearts
Child pornographers and cannibals, and politicians too
There's someone in your head waiting to fucking strangle you
So here's to you Mrs. Robinson
People love you more
Oh nevermind
In fucking fact Mrs. Robinson
The world won't care whether you live or die
In fucking fact Mrs. Robinson
They probably hate to see your stupid face
So here's to you Mrs. Robinson
You live in an unforgiving place
We know this to be true
Everything is difficult except what's in front of you
But it's complicated even under your nose
Bullshit math equations
Your highs and your lows
And your manic depression
It comes and it goes
Your parasympathetic nervous system reacts

Hayalperest
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere.
In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve.
The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future.
Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere"
The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
Why does he say the parasympathetic nervous system reacts? It should be autonomic. The ANS activates the fight or flight response...
Did he do this on purpose?
Shit, I meant "It should be sympathetic."
i was wondering the same thing. parasympathetic = rest and digest.
hmm, maybe it was intentional, but i don't see why. or it could just a fuck-up.

either way, awesome song.
*just BE...
It's inaccurate, but "parasympathetic" flows so well, I feel like we can let it slide.
He said at a concert I went to "Yes, I know the lyrics are wrong... I hope you all got that wrong on your psych 101 test"
hahaha

I believe its just the sympathetic nervous system that controls fight or flight, right? yea even Swojguy said that. Cool :)
@Swojguy Pshhh you asked this almost a decade ago, but I don't care here. I was only 9 at the time and didn't hit the emo phase yet. To attempt to answer your question, I believe this is tied into the manic depression and bipolar disorder. Both mood swings and risk taking are prominent symptoms of bipolar disorder, so I propose that this is inverted on purpose. Your "calming down" nervous system reacts, but then your active system responds instead. It's to show how messed up his brain is on a psychological level. He could be just trying to sleep or wind down from a stressful situation, and then the sympathetic nervous system reacts instead.
