Premeditation will kill the trust
They'll never know if you fear me
With every second collecting dust
I feel so bloated and weary
'Cause she belongs to heaven

She's coming over like a suicide
And its the same old trip, the same old trip as before
Another complicating suicide
And its the same old trip, the same old trip. AS BEFORE!

She'll cut you down with a single thrust
She's taking over too quickly
No medication can cure the lust
So say a prayer for the sickly
'Cause she belongs to heaven

She's coming over like a suicide

And its the same old trip, the same old trip as before
Another complicating suicide
And its the same old trip, the same old trip. As before! As before!

You set me up to fucking fail this time

You set me up to fucking fail this time

You set me up to fucking fail this time

You set me up to fucking fail this time

You set me up to fucking fail this time

You set me up to fucking fail this time

You set me up to fucking fail this time

You set me up to fucking fail this time

She's coming over like a suicide
And its the same old trip, the same old trip as before
Another overbearing suicide
And its the same old trip, the same old trip

She's coming over wearing genocide
And its the same old trip, the same old trip as before
Another complicating suicide
And its the same old trip, the same old trip. AS BEFORE! AS BEFORE!

its about a woman getting into your head and controlling you and playin with you to make you wanna kill yourself (every woman does this to me so i relate to this big time). its the same ol trip as before means its nothing new to him cuz he deals with that feeling all the time. you set me up to fail means she did it on purpose (usually to feel good about herself, if anyone wonders why women do that), and shes comin over wearin genocide means she did the same thing to tons of other guys.

    piece of cake

i dont know how this cant be obvious with the verse "She'll cut you down with a single thrust, shes takin over too quickly" in there...

This song is pretty obvious, it is about a person that always falls for somebody to quickly, like me most of the time.

She'll cut you down with a single thrust (the first time you see her/him see has you hooked) She's taking over too quickly (you fall for them to quickly) No medication can cure the lust (theres no cure for falling to fast) So say a prayer for the sickly

And the chorus drives that point home, shes coming over like a suicide and its the same old trip. Basically as it says, shes coming into my life and she has so much power over me because i fall for anybody to quickly and its the same old trip.

And the bridge basically is saying, i know i am going to get hurt again because i fell to fast. You set me up to fucking fail this time.

The albums dedicated to Eugene, but that doesnt mean every song is about him, as far as I know, only "Rise above this" is about him. All songs on the album were written before his death anyway, so its not about his suicide.

I think there could be lots of interpretations of this song. I'm guessing by "she" Shauns's referring to Heroine though...

Dedicated to frontman Shaun Morgan’s brother Eugene, who committed suicide before the 2007 album’s release. In addition to “Like Suicide” the whole album is Dedicated to Morgan’s brother (see album’s liner notes for reference).

I also believe the "She" Shaun is referring to (in the lyrics) is suicide in itself, meaning that she is suicide, although it could be in fact about a drug such as Heroin.

I think it is about a bad relationship that really pissed him off. Hes fed up with her and can't take it. Maybe im wrong but i don't think hes talking about an actual suicide.

The song is about Shaun's brother who committed suicide. I saw Seether live in September and he said it then. Also it says in the album booklet for "Finding Beauty In Negative Spaces" that the whole album is dedicated to his brother.

This is an amazing song by the way. One of my favorites off the new album.

Hmm... I agree about the lyrics. They seem fucked up but the lyrics that come with the cd say "she's coming over like a suicide" and "she's coming over wearing genocide", so the only person that can be right here is the actual lyricist himself.

I think this song is talking about the loss of someone dear... and like they can't do anything about it, they feel useless. But it could also refer to drugs.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
