I try to make it through my life
In my way, there's you
I try to make it through these lies
And that's all I do

Just don't deny it
Don't try to fight this and deal with it
And that's just part of it
If you were dead or still alive
I don't care, I don't care
Just go and leave this all behind
'Cause I swear (I swear) I don't care

I try to make you see my side
I always try to stay in line
But your eyes see right through
That's all they do

I'm getting buried in this place
I got no room, you're in my face
Don't say anything just go away

If you were dead or still alive
I don't care, I don't care
Just go and leave this all behind
'Cause I swear (I swear) I don't care

Love changing everything, you won't be left for me
Love changing everything, you won't be left for me

If you were dead or still alive
I don't care, I don't care
Just go and leave this all behind
'Cause I swear (I swear) I don't care

If you were dead or still alive
I don't care (I don't care) I don't care (I don't care)
Just go and leave this all behind
I don't care (I swear) I don't care
At all

    Memory

To me, this song reminds me about my mother. she never appreciated me, she never cared about me. and so one day, i just left. the cops found me about 3 hours later and sent me to live with my cousins.

The narrator just gets fed up with someone, and tried so hard to earn their love & respect, and all the person did was treat them like shit right back. He gives up in frustration.

For the record, Adam Gontier is amazing..

This song i totally relate to. My ex boyfriend was constantly breaking me down, calling me names and telling me to kill myself, and blaming me for everything. After all i did for him, that he thinks I didnt, I have come to realize that i just dont care anymore.

    My Interpretation

This song to me is that the singer has inner demons he cannot shake off or has another personality that has damaged his life. (I see it that why because that is what has happened to me.) the dead or still alive part means that he/i don't care if that personality sticks around because he's/i'm doing everything in their power to fight through it, and deals with the fact that he might not be able to change, but that doesn't stop him from trying...

    thats my take on it

Probably my favourite song with lyrics from Worlds Collide (my favourite being Grace). I think this song is about having your trust abused so badly by somebody that you just don't care any more, and even if you try to reason with them, they won't accept responsibility and expect you to "just deal with it"

I can so relate to this song.

'I try to make you see my side'

It sounds like he's trying to get someone to see from his point of view. The person treats him like shit without even knowing him for who he is on the inside. In the end he gives up and tells them he doesn't care if they're alive or dead; he's had enough of their shit. It might not be exactly what the song is about, but I see it like that because I'm having a similar problem with someone.

    Amazing song. (:

hmm...so they changed the song a little for the music video...the lyrics changed a little too. that's awkward.

I guess the US album version has the revised version of this song. :/

Eh, I don't like this version, it sounds like Adam is struggling with his voice...

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
