"ASL" as written by and Matt Mihana Nabil Moo....
I said (I said), I saw it coming (I saw it coming)
Where did you see it? Where did you see it?(x2)

Why are you panting baby?
Is it to hard to keep up with what you said?

From the outskirts of common sense this is extremely uncommon.(anonymous voices; anonymous voices)
So many lights ahead, if only we kept our eyes open.

But now I understand that even if I was blind I could have clearly seen how filthy you really are.(x2)

It would have been an excellent story,
But I had to get up off the train.
Get up, jump off with me, hold my hand and I'll explain everything.

If only it was that easy story teller.
Would you mind never speaking to me again?
I would like for you to remain a myth
( close the book burn it up)

Tell me another lie,
That it's all going to be ok,
Eating up every word you say,
It's starting to taste good.

I haven't heard one thing you have said;
This whole time you were talking
I was to busy picturing you dead.(x2)

If I were to end abruptly, would it leave you wanting more?
(wait for it, wait for it)(x5)

General CommentOkay, so I put the song onto Audacity and slowed the speed down to try and work out the quiet sped-up bit before the outro breakdown, and this is what I got:

    I thought you would be.
Everything you thought you'd be I thought before, I thought before.
But everything you were off to be obviously was just a part of your demise,
and you're an optical illusion, and then I wanted to strangle you.
Strangle you so hard that you'd choke and bleed, and bleed everywhere.
I didn't want to see it, but I had to see it.
Because you enjoy pleasures, as much as I enjoy pleasures too.
I want to kill you right now bitch.
“That ain't mine. That ain't mine” you said that before.
So now you're bleeding. Christ, oh my god.

Some bits of it are really hard, as they're drowned out by the guitar, but I did what I could.

    General CommentTrust.

    Don't lie. Ever.

A philosophy I adhere to in an attempt to simplify life. This is, of course, a vastly misguided attempt, which I invalidated (but manage to function socially beneath) by allowing myself the sin of omission; that is, if you can't say something true (for reasons of politesse), don't say anything at all - steer the conversation in a different direction.

It's much harder to lie than to tell the truth. You have to keep up with what you said and who you said it to, you have to strain your mind to come up with something plausible... Altogether too much like hard work for my liking.

General CommentI think it tells a story of a boys life, his name is most likely clayton halverson. I think it tells how he was lied to and now he will never be able to fully trust anyone again

General CommentThe song's meaning is on the band's myspace page in a blog entilted "ASL lyrics." Eventhough the band has said that it is up to the listener's own interpretation, a fan nailed the actual meaning of the song within days of the post. It is about someone being unfaithful in a relationship and using lies to cover up the truth...that's pretty much it.

General Commentits obviously about lies. the band posted the meaning on their myspace. but does the title ASL mean "age/sex/location" or american sign language?
