If I had alarmed you
I didn't try
I'm tongue-tied
I got be honest
I'm terrified
To fly blind
I tried to disarm you
I played this part
A thousand times
The hunter's the hunted
I'm terrified;
I'm open wide

The distance spanned between you and I
Can I see you tonight?
When the pen in our hands and our best laid plans
Will stand alone on our side.

I wanted to have this
Under control;
The story told.
You came and rewrote it
Opened the door I've never known
You say that you hold them,
The sands of time
You never lie
They pull like a current
I call to shore
There's no reply

The distance is spanned between you and I
Can I see you tonight?
When the pen in our hands
And our best laid plans are standing all on the side

And I never wanted
Anything like this before

The distance is spanned between you and I
Can I see you tonight?
When the pen in our hands and our best laid plans
Will stand alone on our side

The bridges that stand between you and I
Come over tonight
When the pen in our hands and our best laid plans
Will stand alone on our side

Of mice and men on our side.

I'm kinda disappointed that I'm the first one commenting this song. It's so beautiful and what makes it even more beautiful is the fact that i kinda stumbled on it accidentally. To me this song is about someone really close to you dying. "I'm terrified To fly blind" kinda reminds me of like living without your friend/love and 'I called the show There's no reply' you know like wanting so desperately to be able to talk to them again but you cant because they're gone. I guess maybe its about death to me because this is the song that one of my friends uses to remember her best friend who died a while ago. This song is so emotional and beautiful.

JP once said that this song was about "the one that got away."

i'm gonna agree with amanda... "i'm terrified to fly blind" "the hunter's the hunted, i'm terrified, i'm open wide" referring to that he's alone now, and afraid. everything he's "hunted" for is now backfiring... it seems as though they're both trying to hang on (she says she's been hanging onto time, he wants to see her), but the "current" is pushing them away...the distance is spanning, no matter how good the plans were laid

I found more accurate lyrics for the song. It makes more sense than these ones. Who put's out the current and then calls "the show"? (No offense intended. I know how difficult it can be to guess the lyrics)

I love everything about this song. I think it is about the 'hunter' finding out that the 'hunted' person is actually interested and it catches the 'hunter' off guard because they are so comfortable playing the game. Now the 'hunter' is vulnerable because it is in a new role.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
