"Pillamyd" as written by and Philip Hansen/brown Anselmo....
Been to this place before, excavation
Scrawling a name again
Touch stony face restored
Can't read the name, collapsible fingertips

Weeping within the hot of desert weeps
To brood inside the skull of wax and time
Taking no step alone until you can
Crying on the downed stones
Crying on the downed stones

(Pillamyd)
By handfuls you will build a pillamyd
(Pillamyd)
By handfuls you will build a pillamyd
(Pillamyd)
Oh, pillamyd

Fuck in the vessel head, working with slaves
Dust in the eyes of men
Offer nocturnal prayer, alter ablaze
Magic obtained, deciphering pain

Moving inside you when you seem asleep
Influence all to step beyond the gate
When you're slipping in preservative
Hydroglyphic downed stones
Hydroglyphic downed stones

(Pillamyd)
By handfuls you will build a pillamyd
(Pillamyd)
By handfuls you will build a pillamyd
(Pillamyd)
Oh pillamyd

A pillamyd built
Pillamyd guilt inside
[Incomprehensible]

It's etched in stone
It's etched in stone
It's etched in stone
It's etched in stone

(Pillamyd)
By handfuls you will build a pillamyd
(Pillamyd)
By handfuls you will build a pillamyd
(Pillamyd)

General Commentwell...it could be mix of two words...pills and pyramid...as we know, pyramids r built out of countless stones...maybe refering to countless painkilling pills Phil abused during Pantera-days and because of his spine...
just my opinion...oh yeah, and the song fucking kills!

General CommentWhat the fuck is a pillamyd? Sounds like a Japanese person trying to pronounce "pyramid". But nah, this song is awesome. :P Don't know what it's about, though.

General CommentStevara's pretty much got it. Another thing this song makes me think about is the food pyramid and how it seems that prescription drugs are becoming so common that they might as well be another food group but the truth is that they're not that necessary and the recommendation is just there so pharmaceutical companies can rake in some more cash. That doesn't seem to be part of the meaning of the song, but the wordplay gets me thinking about it.

General CommentI agree 100% with stevara about this songs meaning

also, I love the way the ending of "his majesty the desert" just builds then runs straight into this song.
