So is it true, are they better than you?
Are you playing it cool?
Lips sealed, holding back the truth
So hard to make it through
That past always catches up with you
So afraid of what you'll do..
When no one's there to help you choose

And if you ever decide to speak the truth, now
When they cast their first stones, they will cast them at you
They will cast them at you

Alone in a crowded room
Forever fading out at you
Laid down so they can dance (all over you)
You only have everything to lose
At home in an old costume
That mask you wear is wearing you
You've found a new romance
You only have everything to lose

A certain charm you do not possess
I know you can't confess
Who feels sick of your distress
Some things will never change
Deep under the ground you make your way
The choice has just been made
Sit back and fucking pray

And if you ever decide to speak the truth, now
When they cast their first stones, they will cast them at you
They will cast them at you

Alone in a crowded room
Forever fading out at you
Laid down so they can dance (all over you)
You only have everything to lose
At home in an old costume
That mask you wear is wearing you
You've found a new romance
You only have everything to lose
Everything to lose

When they cast their first stones
When they cast their first stones...
They will cast them at you
They will cast them at you...
They will cast them at you....

Cast them at you!

Alone in a crowded room
Forever fading out at you
Laid down so they can dance (all over you)
You only have everything to lose
At home in an old costume
That mask you wear is wearing you
You've found a new romance
You only have everything to lose
Everything to lose!
Everything to lose!

Everything to lose

To me, this song is about someone who has a secret they are hiding, or are afraid to be who they are because of the pressure they have around them. I know this feeling all to well, and to me the most powerful line in the song is "Alone in a crowded room". That feeling can be so real, especially when you are hiding something from everyone and if they were to know this secret, they would "Cast their first stones, they will cast them at you".

Trapt makes suchs a deep and real connection with almost all their songs, and that's why they are the band they are today. They may not be the most popular but they have the best fans. :D

To elaborate on what Mfrieler said: Its about someone who is trying to hide his past from his friends, but its always in the back of his mind. With no-one to turn to for advice he's all alone; its up to him. His mind, torn in two("That mask you wear is wearing you"), is too woried about what others will think thats its begining to envelope his identity ("Everything to lose").

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"
