"Before She Does" as written by Jeremy N. Spillman, Eric Church and Trent Willmon....
I believe that gas is too damn high
An' there ain't nothin' more American
Than Mama's apple pie
I believe in love; I believe in peace
But I don't believe we'll ever see it
In that Middle East
I believe the Bible is cold, hard fact
An' I believe that Jesus is comin' back
Before she does

I believe the Sabbath is a day of rest
The taxman an' the Devil share the same address
I believe don't start if you're gonna quit
I believe in keep your mouth shut
An' carry a big stick
I believe that dogs are better than cats
An' I believe that Jesus is comin' back
Before she does

There's absolutely, positively
No doubt in my mind
That OJ did it; Lee Harvey didn't
An' she's really gone this time

I believe that cold, cold beer
Tastes better on a bar stool
Than it does anywhere
I believe hard work really makes the man
But everyone should wet a line every now an' then
I believe it's best to pay in cash
An' I believe that Jesus is comin' back
Before she does

There's absolutely, positively
No doubt in my mind
That OJ did it; Lee Harvey didn't
An' she's really gone this time

I believe she was a real good thing
Can you believe I let a girl like her get away?
I believe she meant it the night she packed
An' said Jesus is comin' back before she does

Before she does
Before she does

General CommentKaki; are you seriously just on here to belittle an artist's musical direction? ALL of your comments, excluding one, have been on an Eric Church song that you disagree with. This isn't a place to talk about your views of the world, which are actually humorous, but to discuss the content and message of the music. Your attempts to make Church appear as being ignorantly far-right winged are pointless. Sure, you don't agree with some of his opinions, but it the same light how does that make it fair of you to tell others how to think?

    Kaki: get over yourself.

Eric Church: great artist, good lyrics, awesome work.

General CommentEric Church said nothing about child labor. Just that war has gone on too long. Wow. What an ignorant douchebag.
    (Sarcasm)
And Kaki, it's not really practical to tour the country on a bike. There are times when a bike doesn't work.

General CommentKaki...how ignorant are you! Do you truly believe that every single problem in the Middle East is a direct cause of the United States? Since the very beginning of civilization the region known as the fertile crescent has been one of the most fought over regions in the world. In the beginning the fight was between the Semitics and the Palestine people, then came the Hebrews and the Romans, after that came the Jews and the Arabs, following that came the crusades, for centuries during the crusades the Islamic Arabs fought the Christian Europeans. The Crusades left a permanent distrust and enmity lingering in the generational memory of christians, jews, and muslims. Today the conflicts that are ongoing result from the hatred that has built up over millenia. so no the US did not start any of the problems in the current Middle East...

General CommentYOUR huh? Was not commenting on the song. Just his beliefs. Its pretty catchy eh? Leave it to the Non-ignorant patriots to believe that the only form of pariotism is to constantly believe that a country who maintains about 6% of the worlds population and 50% of the worlds wealth can do no wrong. This is hegemony and you're involved with sin and suffering in ways this country refuses to let you believe. Just look at your clothes and shoes for instance...where did they come from? How old was the human who slaved for 4 cents in a factory in order for you to purchase them in this country? I am sorry but that middle east line in the song made me mad. America is 100% responsible for the reason that place is the way it is.

General CommentCool. Another ignorant partiot. I wish he would study up on what is really going on in the Middle East and see who funds the wars that are being fought over there. Stop complaining about your fucking gas and ride a goddamn bike or at least stop using an over sized truck to compensate for the lack of your bulge. Your kind are destroying this world. Jesus isn't coming.
