This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
She's not afraid, she just likes to use her night light
When she gets paid, true religion gets it all
If they fit right
She's a little bit manic, completely organic
Doesn't panic for the most part
She's old enough to know, and young enough not to say no
To any chance that she gets for home plate tickets to see the Mets
Like everybody, she's in over her head
Dreads Feds, Grateful Dead, and doesn't take meds
She's a Gemini-Capricorn
Thinks all men are addicted to porn
I don't agree with her half the time
But damn, I'm glad she's mine
Her eyes, that's where hope lies
That's where blue skies meet the sunrise
Her eyes, that's where I go
When I go home
She got the kind of strength that every man wishes he had
She loved Michael Jackson up until he made Bad
Tells me that she lived about a hundred lives
Scares me to death when she thinks and drives
Says cowboy hats make her look fat
And I'm so glad she's mine
Her eyes, that's where hope lies
That's where blue skies meet the sunrise
Her eyes, that's where I go
When I go home
She doesn't know the word impossible
Don't care where I've been and doesn't care where we're goin' to
She takes me as I am, and that ain't easy
She's beautiful, so beautiful
And sometimes I think she's truly crazy
And I love it
Her eyes, that's where hope lies
That's where blue skies always meet the sunrise
Her eyes, that's where I go
When I go home
Her eyes, that's where hope lies
That's where blue skies always meet the sunrise
Her eyes, that's where I go
When I go home
She's not afraid

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version.
Great version of a great song,

Wu-Tang Clan
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Amazing

Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
This song's lyrics are so stupid as to be almost offensive.
"She's a Gemini Capricorn Thinks all men are addicted to porn"
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!? It's as though the writer was like "Hmm ... what rhymes with capricorn ... horn, corn, nah ... storm ... maybe ... PORN! OMG THAT'S IT, I AM A ~GENIUS~"
And what is a gemini capricorn anyway, last time I checked you could be one or the other, but not both. Ack.
Train's always had simplistic lyrics. "She only drinks coffee at midnight" etc.
I like this song. You could be a Gemini Capricorn, depending on your birth sign and what house your sign is in. Also by your sun sign, or something like that. You actually can have numerous 'signs'. And the porn thing... I'm sure lots of females have a negative image toward a man's sexuality. It's not farfetched or anything in my opinion.
this song is just about how all the silly little things about her make him love her... its adorable. he sees hope in her eyes and sees the positive in all her little quirks...
"Scares me to death when she thinks and drives" i dont care if people think thats sexist... i think its cute =]
i think this is an amazing song...a really great love song
PSI, stop bitching. It's a fun song and the lyrics are simple and to the point. Like most train songs are.
calm down PSI... in my opinion the "gemini capricorn" reference was not ment to be taken literally in that they are her star signs, i think he means that her personality is similar to both a gemini and a capricorn or just that her personality differs from time to time.
I Really never tried to understand what the song ment. I Just Like The Rhythm
i love the first/last lines, "she's not afraid, she just likes to use her night light" i always makes me smile..what girl doesn't want a song like this written about her? :]
such a pretty little love song. Definitely remeniciant of meet virginia...it's all about embracing your flaws, they may just be the reason you're loved. She doesn't know the word impossible....
