Ignore drumbeat behind his eyes.
Talk so much telling lie, suit and tie.
Card glossy, he pause for decision.
Seal the deal making his commision.
Anything to make a quota - no guilt not an iota.
Because everybody wants to be the first; go ahead be the first.

Name it, got it, how bout more.
Everything we've got in store.
What you got oh let me see.
What you got is it for me?
I'm so eager, i'm so eager i'm so eager, i am so i am so eager.

So eager, promise and grin.
He reveals the least to win.
Little games, prize irrelevant.
The addict plays until he's triumphant.

General CommentI don't know if this is REALLY what the song means, but after the 2008 financial meltdown, I like to think of the part of this song referencing quotas and commisions as describing the kind of people who aggressively pushed all the bad loans and sub-prime mortgages which ended up causing the collapse.
