"Winter Passing" as written by Kato Khandwala and Unknown Writer....
She says, I'd like you to leave
Between the cigarettes and dirty sheets
I?d hate to make you watch me bleed

she's out of control, lying on the floor
You can't hold it all together
With bruised fists and dresser drawers

Wake up, the cold is here, it?s finally coming
Wake up, the cold is here, you can't keep running
Wake up, the cold is here, you won't see morning
You've got to let go

She dreams I?ll never be free
Between the makeup streaks and dead end streets
There's nothing pretty left in me

she's wasting away, forgotten yesterday
There's a bullet in the chamber
And you'll never win the game you play

Wake up, the cold is here, it?s finally coming
Wake up, the cold is here, you can't keep running
Wake up, the cold is here, you won't see morning
You've got to let go

Wake up, the cold is here, it?s finally coming
Wake up, the cold is here, you can't keep running
Wake up, the cold is here, you won't see morning
You've got to let go

It?s in your blood, it?s in your bones
The winter?s passing, white walls collapsing
It?s time to make your way back home

It?s in your blood, it?s fighting for your soul
The door is closing, you've got to let go

Wake up, the cold is here, it?s finally coming
Wake up, the cold is here, you can't keep running
Wake up, the cold is here, you won't see morning
You've got to let go

Wake up, the cold is here, it?s finally coming
Wake up, the cold is here, you can't keep running
Wake up, the cold is here, you won't see morning
You've got to let go

Just walk away, it?s in the cocaine
Just walk away, it?s stealing your pain
Just walk away, it?s in the cocaine

General CommentThis song has SO much packed into it. First gives a picture of how bad life can get sometimes. And then Winter comes; it's cold and dark and all hope seems gone. But Wake up! There's hope! In the middle of all the dispair, joy is found in a little baby boy. But you have to let go of the selfish life you lead. There is nothing pretty left in me, as humans we are sinfull, and will remain that way. We can't do it on our own, can't save ourselfs. "You'll never win the game you play." Then as the music builds, lyrics start with "it's in your blood..." Sin is in you, as a flawful human it will be. But you have to come home. Come back to God. All he wants is to love you and have a relationship with you and bless you in so many ways, if you'll just come. The sin will keep fighting to keep you but you have to let go of it all. Wake up and walk away from it; walk into the love and forgiveness Christ has to offer you.
