His heart is on the east coast
His heart is very pretty
She's the one he loves the most
Take him back to NYC
I never thought that one could love anyone
for that long I admit it
But now she's all that he can think of
Take him back to NYC
There're things he didn't work out with her
And it's a fucking pity
They could be so good together
Take him back to NYC
He wants to walk along the river
And check out the graffiti
See if their names have been spread over
Take him back to NYC
He wants to walk along the river
Where the sand is very greedy
He wants to stay with her forever
Take him back to NYC
And we all go woowoo
He needs her more than he needs the light of day
He needs her like the light of day but time sixty
He’s going blind without her anyway
Take him back to NYC
No he’s not being naïve
About what’s wrong in the American society
But he just wants to live where she lives
Take him back to NYC
And he would sure miss his friends
And his job there
He would shove the shitty
But here his life makes no sense
Take him back to NYC
And it’s not where they shot Vertigo
And it’s not where they shot E.T.
But it’s still where he wants to go
Take him back to NYC
It ? stupid they’re apart
It is such a stupid stupidity
Take him back to his heart
Take him back to NYC
And again
Take him back to NYC
What she said take him back to NYC
Now you again
Take him back to NYC
And we all go woowoowoo

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
