"All Over You" as written by Damon Reinagle, Drew Scott and Brian / Kennedy....
Yeah he's a looker
But I really think it's guts that matter most
I displayed them for you
Strung out about from coast to coast
I am easily make-believe
Just dress me up in what you want me to be
I'll take back what I've been saying for quite some time now

I gotta feel you in my bones again
I'm all over you
I'm not over you
I wanna taste you one more time again
I'm all over you
I'm not over you

In my daydreams, in my sleep
Infatuation turning into disease
You could cure me see all you have to do now is
Please try give it your best shot and try
All I'm asking for is love
But you never seem to have enough

I gotta feel you in my bones again
I'm all over you
I'm not over you
I wanna taste you one more time again
I'm all over you
I'm not over you

This life is way too short to get caught up in all this stuff
Well I just want you to love me back

Why can't you just love me back?
(Why can't you just love me back?
Why can't you? (repeat 2X)
Why can't you just love me back?
(Why can't you just love me back?
Why can't you? (repeat 2X)
Why can't you just love me back?
(Why can't you? (repeat 2X)

I gotta feel you in my bones again
I'm all over you
I'm not over you
I wanna taste you one more time again
I'm all over you
I'm not over you

(Just one more time)
This life is way too short to get caught up and all mixed up
When I just want you to love me back
Why cant you just love me back?

Why won't you just love me back?
Why cant you just love me back?

General CommentI agree with thequiettype. The more I listen to this song, the more I almost can't stand it. It's a good song, I think it's really catchy and everything, but I just really don't like the lyrics.

The girl he's singing about doesn't seem like a good catch and the lyrics paint him as naive with the way he's hopelessly obsessed with this girl who, as thequiettype pointed out, isn't that appealing.

"Yeah he's a looker/But I really think it's guts that matter most/I displayed them for you/Strung out about from coast to coast/I am easily make-believe/Just dress me up in what you want me to be"

Those lyrics nearly make me cringe because, to me, it screams of naivety that he's comparing the other guy's looks with his personality when the two are not comparable. And the fact that he's stating how he'd conform to whatever she wanted him to be and change who he is so she'd come back to him just makes me embarrassed for him.

"Why can't you just love me back?"

This line bothers me too because my interpretation is that he's so stuck on this one girl that he can't understand why she won't reciprocate his feelings. It just annoys me that he seems to make it sound like it's should be simple for her to love him without taking into account that it's completely over. But, I guess that's the point.

General CommentYeah, I see where you're coming from thequiettype & top banana, but I agree with Micho.

Sometimes you just really can't help who you're in love with.

My OpinionOkay, for all you guys who think this song is amazing because it's very meaningful or sweet or whatever, reread the lyrics again. This song isn't sweet at all. The guy doesn't love this girl. "I wanna taste you one more time again (Just one more time)". Taste is one of the 5 senses of the body. What do we use to taste objects? Our hands? Nope. Our ears? Nope. Our eyes? Nope. Our nose? Nope. It's our mouth. We use our mouth to taste things. So, when he says, I wanna taste you one more time again (kissing, sex, something like that), he's lusting for her. Furthermore, this guy is just selfish. "In my daydreams, in my sleep, infatuation turning into disease" - Here, he states that he has "infatuation" for her. NOT LOVE. And later in the song, he dares to ask for "her LOVE" when he himself doesn't even love her? This guy is shallow and selfish. At first glance, this song is a really sweet song, but if you read into the lyrics, it's not a sweet song at all. He may feel something for the girl, but the repetition of those lyrics just show that he craves her just about as much. A desire to be with someone and care for them and etc is different from a desire for their body.

General CommentI like the song but I don't. I've heard songs written better both lyrically and musically by them. I likethe lyrics, but I guess I expected more from the guys. I know I'll eventually get used to it and I still love them to death, but it seems too basic...if I may.
