"James Bond" as written by and Roy Neville Francis Stride....
007, Britain's finest secret agent, licensed to kill.
Mixing business with girls and thrills.
I've seen you walk the screen, it's you that I adore.
Since I was a boy I've wanted to be like Roger Moore.
A girl in every port, and gadgets up my sleeve.
The world is not enough for the both of us it seems.
So I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.
Kissing all the girls, blow the bad guys away.
And I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.
Kissing all the girls, blow the bad guys away.
Hello Mr Bond, I've been expecting you.
Martini in your hand, and that eyebrow that you move.
Don't take this the wrong way, I know it might sound odd.
I'm the next double 0, I'm the right man for the job.
So I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.
Kissing all the girls, blow the bad guys away.
And I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.
Kissing all the girls, blow the bad guys away.
I've a license, I've a license, I've a license to thrill.
I've a license, I've a license, I've a license to kill.
I've a license, I've a license, I've a license to thrill.
I've a license, I've a license, I've a license to kill.
I wanted to be you, I wanted to be you, I wanted to be someone else.
I wanted to be you, I wanted to be you, I wanted to be someone else.
And I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.
Kissing all the girls, blow the bad guys away.
And I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.
Kissing all the girls, blow the bad guys away.
And I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.
Kissing all the girls, blow the bad guys away.
Roger and Sean and Timmy and George and Daniel and Pierce and maybe one day me

General CommentWell duh.. lol. I don't know why, but I find this song really addictive. But then I used to want to be James Bond myself, so... lol. And yes, I am a girl. But a boy-y girl. Lol.

=D Normally I don't go for indie pop or however you want to categorise Scouting For Girls, but I do seem to quite like them, especially this one.

Because I relate. I still want to be James Bond! 17 going on 7!

General Commentthe desire to escape. when he's in school or something and just wishing he has the romantic idealist job. personally feel it's the best song they wrote, although they still have the annoying repetition of "a licence to kill/ thrill" and "i wanted to be you" it's catchy. and a shame it was played so much on british radio =/ oh well. theres still other songs ou there and i bet a hell of a lot of them are better than this :)

    sorry if i offended somebody

General CommentBeing a lass from the states who doesn't regularly listen to the radio, I didn't hear about this band until recently, this song being my initial introduction. I've got to say, everything by this band is incredibly addicting, though it can be a bit repetitive. This song just makes me smile, being a hopeless escapist myself; because that's what it's about- wishing you could be someone else. (Admittedly, this band is a bit blunt with thier lyrics for my taste, but it's so catchy that I can't hate it.)
Whenever I hear it, though, I can't help but think of Humon's Agent 300 from Niels. Perhaps another reason why it makes me smile. (I wish I could be James Bond too... so many girls... -sigh-)
