"Keep On Walking" as written by and Roy Neville Francis Stride....
Why don't you come home, its not very far.
I wait up each night, for the sound of your car.
Well, well well, we both knew it wouldn't be easy.
Oh how we both knew it wouldn't be easy.
Oh yeah yeah, but oh I never thought it ever be, ever be this hard.
It's been three weeks, since I got a decent sleep.
I've a restless head and an empty bed, these dreams are killing me so,
I keep on walking til the sun comes up.
I keep on walking til the sun comes up.
I keep on walking til the sun comes up.
I keep on walking til the sun comes up.
I'm bored and alone, it's been far too long.
Why don't you come home, it's where you belong.
Well well well, we all could do with the money, yeah.
Well we all could do with the money.
But oh what's the use of the money, when we ain't got no time

General CommentI have a question about this song.
"since I got a decent sleep."
I think that following word is more proper,"I lost"or
"I didn't get" .English is not native for me.
    Please comment me anyone,thanks.

General CommentObv. There has been a break up in the relationship.. the girl hs left him and he's not all happy about it.

'Why don't you come home, its not very far.
I wait up each night, for the sound of your car.
Well, well well, we both knew it wouldn't be easy.
Oh how we both knew it wouldn't be easy.'

He wants her to come back, he waits up each night and lives in hope that one day she will. He's saying that they both knew the relationship wouldnt be 'easy' but he thought they would try.

'Oh yeah yeah, but oh I never thought it ever be, ever be this hard.
It's been three weeks, since I got a decent sleep.
I've a restless head and an empty bed, these dreams are killing me so'

He never thought it would be this hard, kinda shows that he never knew how hard it would be without her, he thought that he's get over it i guess and he's found he can't. She's left him for three weeks, and without her with him. he can't sleep she's wreaking havoc with his mind and the 'empty bed' kinda metaphorically shows how he's feeling.. empty and solitary.

the, 'I keep on walking 'til the sun comes up bit'
i think that means he'll keep moving forward trying to work his way through the nght so he doesnt feel so alone, sun is usually a connotation for happy times.. so maybe he means he's gonna try and work his way through til he's happy again?

'Well well well, we all could do with the money, yeah.
Well we all could do with the money.
But oh whats the use of the money, when we aint got no time'

He's trying to make a rational reason for her coming back, they need each other for financial support.. but then he realises that money means nothing to either of them if they havent got the time for each other.

General CommentMaybe it's just me, but it sounds like he's at home and his girlfriend/wife has gone away to work (e.g. in the Army) hence the money comment - there's no point in the money she earns because she's never home to spend it with him.

    Just my thoughts.
    Love this song :)
