A phone line can only go so far
These conversations only make us feel farther apart
Been having trouble sleeping since I left your bed
A regret has been burning in my heart
And that's what makes these conversations so goddamn hard
Thoughts of you and him together running through my head

Four hundred miles has a way of ruining today
And I feel like I'm dying inside
Digital smiles have a way of making everything okay
And bringing the dead back to life
Well, so do I
So let's love with the keyboard tonight

Two hearts way too open wide
Two heart separated by a continental divide
If I was with you now, well, I wouldn't be writing this down
I can't believe the way we met that night
Is now the only thing keeping this bond alive
Our once noisy relationship is now strangely devoid of sound

General CommentThis song is pretty self-explanatory; it's basically about two lovers who are evidently forced to live four hundred miles away from each other, and trying to maintain that precious relationship via the internet and phone.
