(Jonathan Davis)

I am watching the rise and fall of my salvation
There's so much shit around me
Such a lack of compassion
I thought it would be fun and games (it would be fun and games)
Instead it's all the same (it's all the same)
I want something to do
Need to feel the sickness in you

I feel the reason as it's leaving me, no, not
again (make me bad)
It's quite decieving as I'm feeling the flesh, make
me bad (make me bad)
(x2)

(Robert Smith)

Yesterday I got so lonely
I felt like I could die
Yesterday away from you
It made me want to cry

Go on, go on, just walk away
Go on, go on, you're choice is made
Go on, go on, and disappear
Go on, go on, away from here

And I know I was wrong
When I said it was true
That it couldnt be me and be her
Inbetween without you
Without you

Yesterday I got so scared
I shivered like a child
Yesterday away from you
It froze me deep inside

Come back, come back, dont walk away
Come back, come back, come back today
Come back, come back, why cant you see?
Come back, come back, come back to me

And I know I was wrong
When I said it was true
That it couldnt be me and be her
Inbetween without you
Without you

(JD)

All I'd do is look for you
I need my fix, you need it to
Just to get some sort of attention, attention

What does it mean to you? (what does it mean to you?)
For me its something I just do (I just so)
I want something
I need to feel the sickness in you

I feel the reason as it's leaving me, no, not
again (make me bad)
It's quite decieving as I'm feeling the flesh, make me bad (make me bad)

I feel the reason as it's leaving me, no, not
again (make me bad)
It's quite decieving as I'm feeling the flesh, make me bad

(JD)
Doesn't make me bad (x4)
(RS)
Come back, come back, don't walk away
Come back, come back, come back today
Why can't you see?
Come back, come back to me

(JD) Without you (x4)
(RS) Make me bad (x3)

I totally agree! It's one of my favourites on the mtv unplugged along with thoughtless and freak on a leash! But I like them all lol it's truly amazing the way they twisted the songs to make them acoustic, a little different but still totally recognisable

ok theres a little story behind this for me...me and my roomate were listening to this cd like we always do with new cds and rate them and talk about them etc etc. when it got to this song we expected the cure doing background stuff seeing it is a korn cd. when the flawlessly tied to two songs together it sent us on a Korn fest, we listened to nothing but korn for a week. GENIOUS idea for a song, my fav on the unplugged.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
