"I Don't Want to Dance Anymore" as written by and Brandon Reilly....
In your morning terror of
Not knowing what to wear
I will race down to your house
Catch you standing in the bare
Why do you shiver(?) in your clothes
When you pay for them all on your own
And I've got blue collar eyes, but mama
The union has been unkind

Now I don't want to dance anymore
I am through
I could never ever be that guy
That's for you to do (x2)

And when the chip's off your shoulder
And you're back home and you're a mess
You should invite me over
I'll show you how to write a hit
I can't promise it will sell
But I can promise you it wont be shit

Yes, I'm an envious shrew
But it should be me not you

Hah Hah Hah Hah

Now I don't want to dance anymore
I am through
I could never ever be that guy
That's for you to do (x2)

And I've got blue collar eyes, but mama
The union has been unkind
Yes, I'm an envious shrew
But it should be me not you

Now I don't want to dance anymore
I am through
I could never ever be that guy
That's for you to do (x2)

General CommentI think it's "shrew" like the little animal, not "shrewd."

General Comment"In your morning terror of not knowing what to wear..."

    Great line right there.

and yes it does make sense as "shrew"

General CommentHe actually says "I've got blue collar eyes, the union has been unkind". I'm not sure the words in Brandon's songs are supposed to form any sort of cohesive story as much as they're supposed to evoke images... either way, he has a knack for saying Morrisey-esque lines that come across as being very shrewd, so I don't really mind.

This is a pretty cool song, too. I love how the main riff is lifted from Surf Wax America, intentional or not.

General CommentI thought the lyrics were "when you're back home in your own bed" not "when you're back home and you're a mess".
Does anybody know the true lyrics, I think mine sound better but who knows...
