No, I couldn't tell you how the house burned down
Last night while we were running around
Midnight surrounds you, the moonlight makes you proud
Last night, oh, we were running around

Sing for last call, sing for last fall, such was it all
Sing for last call, sing for last fall, such was it all

All along I was your home
All along I was your home

Sing for last call, sing for last fall, such was it all
Sing for last call, sing for last fall, such was it all

And all along I was your home
All along I was your home
All along I was your home
All along I was your home

General Comment...all along i was your home.

seems like someone trying to make a point to an ex.
last call being the last chance for "last fall" or the time they were together. maybe im just a sap, this could be about something completely different lol.

General CommentI'm reading White Oleander right now, and this song played in my head when I read Astrid's thoughts of how her mother was her home. It's probably nothing to do with it, but I get the feeling like it connects somehow.

My OpinionThe sound of the song makes it have an atmosphere of a past relationship uniting again (perhaps closure) and at how she relies for answers on him... the burning of the house last night could be anything trivial, referring at how she relies on him. As the song develops, the music makes it sound as if the closure was finally established, and he calls upon singin for the last call and the last fall, because thats all that last encounter was. He provided comfort, a home to her, before but not anymore (I was your home).

opinion, thats what is sounds like it to me ha.

General CommentWhat a beautiful arrangement of harmony. Who cares about the lyrics or the meaning of them, the music is the core. It's a god damn symphony, tells a story even without lyrics.
