It's always the same
I'm always ashamed
Storytelling when I can't come in
But one more time
I insist and I swear
I mean no offense
But you better learn to read
It's all about membership

I spell it for the young and old
Ugly girls and boys
I put you on my list
And make you clap to this
It's mayhem or just an ego trip
But only one can win
And soon you'll say that's him

D V N O
Four capital letters
Printed in gold
Because details make the girls sweat even more
While they're shaking their belt
No need to ask my name
To figure out how cool I am

Can anyone read, anyone feel
That I'm losing my patience
I just came here to bounce
Ladies all waxed, they all know I'm coming
I'm losing my patience
I just came here to bounce

General CommentHere are the acutal lyrics:

    It's always the same
    always the same story
"Tell me what, when I can come in"
    To a hopeless troglodyte
    But one more time
    my answer stands
I swear I mean "no opens"
But you better learn to read
    it's all 'bout membership

    Hey, for you to note
    Ugly girls and boys
I put you on my list
And make you clap to this
But, man, I just don't that trip
    My only one commune
    And soon you're saying different

    [Chorus x2]
    D V N O
    Four capital letters
    Printed in gold
'Cause details make the girls sweat even more
    while they're shaking their belt
No need to ask my name
to figure out how cool I am

    [Refrain x2]
    Can anyone read, anyone feel
    That I'm losing my patience
I just came here to bounce
    Ladies are all waxed
    They all now I'm coming
    I'm losing my patience
I just came here to bounce

    [Chorus x2]

General CommentI think its about a doorman/bouncer and how he feels by getting to decide who gets in the club and who doesn't. Like he's on an ego trip getting to turn away ugly girls and guys. Its door policy for certain clubs to mainly let attractive women in, turn away not so nice women and turn away most guys. Especially guys not with an attractice woman.

General CommentSOOOO, here is my whole take on this. I have acted in many different ways in my life so I know a lot of people aren't going to want to think about this kind of stuff, BUT if you read this book that is everywhere called the bible then this makes a lot of sense. So here it is line by line, just my take on it.

    It's always the same
    I’m always ashamed
Storytelling when i can’t come in
(Making up excuses for not doing what you know to be good or just)

    But one more time
    I insist and I swear
I mean no offense (to god)

But you better learn to read (the bible)

it's all about membership (the choice of good or evil)

I spell it for the young and old (in the bible, or literally the singer is now spelling it out to you)

Ugly girls and boys (maybe... arrogant self obsessed young people)

I put you on my list
And make you clap to this (even though you totally don't understand what you're dancing to)

It's mayhem or just an ego trip (being blind to the word of god)

But only one can win (good or evil)

And soon you'll say that’s him (when god is presented in two forms; the true one and the false one)

    D V N O (Divinity)

    Four capital letters
Printed in gold (Presented in the material world, possibly evil posing as divinity)

Because details make the girls sweat even more
while they're shaking their belt (being human)

No need to ask my name (the name of god)

to figure out how cool I am (to know the difference between good and evil)

Can anyone read (the words of god)

    anyone feel
That I'm losing my patience (That god is losing patience with mankind because we keep picking evil)

I just came here to bounce (Maybe... Jesus came to bring a message and then leave)

Ladies out west, they all know I'm coming (the "kings of the EAST" are supposed to bring about the end of days, so the ladies of the west could be the opposite, the followers of the word of god.)

    I'm losing my patience
I just came here to bounce

General Commenti can not stop listening to this song.

& maybe it's just me, but i swear that like every other time he's saying something about 'gershwin' instead of girls sweat. but that's just probably just thanks to my piano teacher.
