"I Walk Alone" as written by Anders Wilhelm Wollbeck, Harry Mikael Sommerdahl and Mattias Lindblom....
Put all your angels on the edge
Keep all the roses, I'm not dead
I left a thorn under your bed
I'm never gone

Go tell the world I'm still around
I didn't fly, I'm coming down
You are the wind, the only sound
Whisper to my heart when hope is torn apart

And no one can save you

I walk alone
Every step I take, I walk alone
My winter storm holding me awake
It's never gone when I walk alone

Go back to sleep forever more
Far from your fools and lock the door
They're all around and they'll make sure
You don't have to see what I turned out to be

No one can help you

I walk alone
Every step I take, I walk alone
My winter storm holding me awake
It's never gone when I walk alone

Waiting up in heaven
I was never far from you
Spinning down I felt your every move
I walk alone

I walk alone
Every step I take, I walk alone
My winter storm holding me awake
It's never gone, when I walk alone

General CommentWhy the hell do people call Tarja a diva? Celine Dion is a diva, but no body hates her. Tarja is a finnish classical singer, and the reason she get attention at all is due to her amazing voice. What about the american idols, those are the greedy divas! They sing so they can be stars, Tarja sings because it is her life.

And now over to the song: It sounds to me that several of the songs on the My Winter Storm CD is dedicated to NW.

My Winterstorm... i think it refers to her time after being dumped by NW. A winterstorm is cold, unpleasant and deadly, Tarja survived the winterstorm after NW, and wants to remind them that she isnt gone yet.

General Comment''I left a thorn under your bed''

She tells Tuomas that she will make her revenge or something like that...she prepared him a trap or something, the torn under his bed

    ''My winter storm
    Holding me awake''

her behaviour still remains the same, she's still an ice queen, greedy diva...her winter storm keeps her awake

    ''You don't have to see
What I turned out to be
    No one can help you''

well, she turned up to another person, she is not the same, lovely girl they used to know, she's now a ''diva'' who knows what she wants

General CommentI think it is a response to NW, telling them that she's still here and stronger than ever. I think the doll persona is about showing she's not as fragile as people might think, becoming a phoenix and rising above all she's been put through. I hope all her songs will be as strong as this.

General CommentWell put Fucoc. I admire Tarja for how well she's come through her trials, and produced such a fine album.

Song MeaningThe song is directly content to her being fired from Nightwish. Rather than dwelling with the scenario, Tarja chose to write and sing her own songs(like this one). She's actually telling Tuomas, the rest of Nightwish and EVERYONE that she will move on with her music career, alone.

General CommentI dont think the lyrics for this song are too complicated but its her different personas that confuse me in the video, especially the phoenix and doll ones. Great song though!

General CommentI haven't actually seen the video, but the song is pretty clear. You said something about a phoenix? Phoenix die in a big ball of fire, then are reborn in all their former glory from the ashes of their corpse. "Keep all the roses I'm not dead", implying people think she's over with, "Go tell the world I'm still around", indicating this as a sort of announcement... see?

General CommentIs this song a response to NW, or is it totally random?
