"Feeling Lucky" as written by and James Christopher/burch Adkins....
There's a chance, one of us will give in soon
I could ask, but what's an answer gonna prove?
I tried to get mad, but the fever drops
My heart can't break 'cause the beating stops
Yeah, suck that lucky feeling right outta me

Wanna wrath, take a look around the room
It's a dance, tired steps in brand new shoes
I can only take a guess what morning brings
If it feels too good, then it probably is
Yeah, suck that lucky feeling right outta me

I follow your sign, wherever it leads I go
But you turned your back so easily

It tells me everything I need, yeah

Waiting for the line to move a foot, yeah
Wasting my life on nothing good
Suck that lucky feeling right outta me

I should apt to tie it down or cut you loose
It's a trap, and I'm sure I should not move
When I try to sing along, the needle skips
I'm hoping that I'm wrong, but the half is friction
Suck that lucky feeling right outta me
Yeah you sucked that lucky feeling right outta me
Yeah you sucked that lucky feeling right outta me, yeah

General Commentthis song didnt really jump on at me when i initially listened to the album.

    but the lyrics are gold.

i think the song is about a relationship, where one person is clearly being walked all over, but feel really helpless about it all. the person with the upper hand is sucking all the happiness and bliss that is the honeymoon-phase out of their relationship. but the other person cant do anything about it. they're trapped.

    i love this song.

General Commenti think "Wanna wrath, take a look around the room" should be "wanna laugh? take a look around the room"

    General CommentCouple of corrections:

'I should act, tie you down or cut you loose'

The next line sounds like '...any jury should have moved' or something?

And I'm pretty sure that it says 'but the house is bricks' after the needle line?

General Comment"i try to sing along but the needle skips, i huff and i puff but your house is bricks"

i'm pretty sure that's right and it makes sense too :)

and i think it's "YOU suck that lucky feeling.."
    and "wanna laugh" (not wrath)
-i think someone was in a hurry to get these up-

    "moment" instead of "morning" maybe..

it could always be an earlier version..I'm seeing them in march :) x

    General CommentIt should be:

    "It's a trap any direction I move,
Every time I sing along, the needle skips,
I huff and I puff but the house is bricks."

Can I just make a suggestion that people not post lyrics unless they have the liner notes? It would save a lot of time and editing anyway. The only reason I posted the ones for "Mathematics" is they didn't include the lyrics with the CD which is stupid IMO. Also, can I suggest you be allowed to edit your posts because the anger I expressed on here a few posts back was misdirected. Just my two cents.

I don't understand how Jim could think he's wasting his life on nothing good when his music brings so much joy to people.

General CommentThis is the second song I've heard from Chase This Light, and I must confess, at first I was like: What have they done?! But after reading the lyrics.... :) It's gooooooood, like always :D
