The worlds have now learned of the worst yet to come
On the brink of an end, a boy learns to run
How you love, or could you, Mister Man of the Year?
Walking tall with nothing to fear

Don't pass up this chance, oh, go tear down the walls
No gods will be watching, no one cares enough at all
These words need now are ending, as they did at the start
But I'll keep on pretending, I won't go

Don't cry no more, boy
You've got the other side of your life, so enjoy
I'll move out the front door
And take out your trash
But I'm no longer haunting here
I'm not coming back

The world must know my story
So long, Amory
Please drive me home one last time

Hail, hail, hail, hail
Hail, hail, hail, hail
Hail, hail, hail, hail
Hail, hail, hail, hail
Hail, hail, hail, hail
Hail, hail, hail, hail
Hail, hail, hail, hail

Hail, hail, hail, hail
Hail, hail, hail, hail
Hail, hail, hail, hail
Hail, hail, hail, hail
Hail, hail, hail, hail
Hail, hail, hail, hail
Hail, hail, hail, hail
Hail

This is, in my opinion, literally the best song ever written. I start to tear up everytime I hear it.

In the last song, The Road and The Damned, everything ends. Claudio's killed Wilhelm Ryan, Mayo Deftinwolf, and everyone he has a vendetta out on. He destroys Star IV, breaking The Keywork, and sending the planets into chaos. So, at the end Claudio goes to heaven, and is reunited with Ambellina, his parents, everyone he lost. But, he's guilty so he goes to hell. The Writer stops him, and the story ends.

So, in this song, The Writer puts down his story. He has done what he started. His madness has passed him. Ten Speed atill remains with him. He is part of the story, and will not fade. The Writer decides to go to Erica Court's house, making Ten Speed think that he will take her back. He gets angry with The Writer. But, when Erica lets The Writer in her house, he vents all his feelings on her, and ends thier relationship on his terms. The Writer and Ten Speed converse, and The Writer begins his new life. The story has given him a new lease on life. He is free of Erica, free of his madness. He sets off back to his house, to start his life anew.

Seeing as the story is not officially written yet, I would not be surprised if Claudio (the real one) visits forums such as these to gain ideas. Some interpretations are pretty damn creative.

I saw a few posts here about the number of "hails" in this song. There are 57, I counted. Now that the track listing for the new album, "Year of the Black Rainbow" is out, I can finally put an end to this. The 57 "hails" represent the total of 57 Coheed songs, but only if you count the right ones.

SSTB originally has 10 tracks, but for this to work we must count 13 from the re-release. IKSSE:3 has 11 tracks. Some would say it has 12 with 21:13, or 23, but we only count 11. FTTEOM has 15 tracks, but the Willing Well series must be counted as one, giving it 12. NWFT Has 13 tracks, but again The End Complete series must be counted as one, giving it 9. YOTBR has 12 tracks.

    13+11+12+9+12=57

Not sure if this was intentional, but it works anyway.

i'm not sure what song this is cause i don't have the cd with me now but if this is the last song on the new cd it is epic and it is obviously a "fuck you leave" to a girlfriend/love interest..."...You're a selfish little whore, a selfish little whore, if i had my way i'd smash you face with the door" maybe i'm wrong but that's the way i see it, i'll try to get the lyrics to the new cd on here cause they need to be talked about

This song is pretty killer. Jazzy. Claudio's voice is more like how it sounds for PFI.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
