"Honor" as written by Porter Marc Mcknight, Brandon Saller, Ektor Alex Varkatzas, Travis Miguel and Daniel Dan Jacobs....
Resolute a stance of defiance
Always teetering on the bring
Nothing can hold you back when
When you're not holding back a thing
Open arms (we) embrace tomorrow
Closed fists, tarnishing today
We're not afraid to open our mouths and scream
We believe in what we say

[chorus:]
Like a whisper to the dusk
An oath against the shadows
Denying the dark
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT 'til the break of dawn
Like a prayer unto the dawn
In arms against the shadows
Destroying the dark
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT 'till the break of dawn

Covered in sweat and blood
Yet still out heads held high
Actions have consequences
When you life for foolish pride
Been careful not to lose ourselves
Stand together one passion one hate
We believe in a better tomorrow
We believe in what we say

[chorus:]
Like a whisper to the dusk
An oath against the shadows
Denying the dark
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT 'til the break of dawn
Like a prayer unto the dawn
In arms against the shadows
Destroying the dark
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT 'till the break of dawn
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT 'till the break of dawn

We'll fight out battles we'll wage our wars
Settle the scores with honor and blood
We'll wear out scars like medals of hope
Like medals of hope
Like medals of hope
We'll fight out battles we'll wage our wars
Settle the scores with honor and blood
We'll wear out scars like medals of hope
Like medals of hope
Like medals of hope

[chorus:]
Like a whisper to the dusk
An oath against the shadows
Denying the dark
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT 'til the break of dawn
Like a prayer unto the dawn
In arms against the shadows
Destroying the dark (whisper to the dusk)
In arms against the shadows
Destroying the dark (whisper to the dusk)
In arms against the shadows
Destroying the dark (whisper to the dusk )
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT 'till the break of dawn
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT 'till the break of dawn
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT 'till the break of dawn
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT 'till the break of dawn

General Commentwell, as I said, this song reminds me of an anthem to the men and women fighting for this country right now.

    "Resolute a stance of defiance
always teetering on the brink" --- You form as one but it's hard to keep control when you're being shot at by the enemy.

"Covered in sweat and blood yet still our heads held high" --- this is the part of the song that really sticks out to me...all of them are fighting for us; bleeding, sweating, exhausted, yet, they're still fighting for what they believe in.

"Actions have consequences when you live for foolish pride." --- Don't get too big-headed because it'll surely catch up with you.

"stand together one passion one hate" --- they're all unified as one. they all have the same objective.

And obviously, the last part of the song reflects the men and women in uniform. For all who was wounded, they'll definitely use their scars as medals of hope because they know they fought for something worth fighting for // a better tomorrow.

I have a friend in iraq right now and he came so close to dying. his humvee got blown up and he lost some of his hearing and now he's diagnosed with post-pardum depression. He's coming back home in November, and I can't wait.

General CommentIt is about living life with no darkness or depression, "an oath against the shadows, denying the dark".

"We fight our battles, we wage our wars, settle the scores with honor and blood, we wear our scars like medals of hope"

This has to do with learning from bad experiences and using knowledge to follow the right path in life, being proud that you once experienced pain, and you have the strength to carry on through it.

General Commentthis song gives me strength! it is self explanatory... it's called honor and that's what it's about... honor. i think this song was meant to give hope to the hopeless,

Like a whisper to the dusk
    An oath against the shadows
    Denying the dark
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT 'til the break of dawn
Like a prayer unto the dawn
    In arms against the shadows
    Destroying the dark
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT 'till the break of dawn

if that doesn't make you wanna rise above and fight, there is somethin wrong with you. to me this is probably the most inspirational songs i've ever heard from a rock band. maybe i'm fucked up i'm not sure but, anytime i feel like givin up i listen to this song, and givin up just isn't an option afterwards.

General Commentthe only song i can proudly say i like from LSPA

You guys might be right but I was thinking more that this song was an anthem to the men at war right now for our country.

i have ideas of how it's expressed that way, but unfortunately I have to head out...probably when I get back I'll explain myself

General Commentcrush, i used to think that way too 'til i realized that the gas HASN'T gone down at all!!! ...how can we be fighting for something that is only fluxuating by pennies. Don't get me wrong, I hate bush as much as the next person but gas/oil isn't what this war is about.
