Well every time you took me to the lies of your bed
you know I tried to do it every time you read
but all of your words that came down like your spies
trickled through the morphine and tried to make a crime
I don't expect to suggest that we're through
you know I can live without you if you do
but tell me that the temperature is rising in your head
tell me the blood is not to be misled

All these little boys coming through the cracks
trying to pick up the things, performed all the slack
I've seen the broken fences right down to the line
green like a mind that said it never was retired
I know I know I know it's true
all the things you thought about I want you to do
and when the clouds separated in comes the sun
hurry through the song that a girl once sung
she's the reason why I'm trying to make it alright
trying to drive through to Croatia tonight
wanna lie beside her with the wind in my hand
try to be the stereotype with a plan
but my love of god and god is love
that's why you ruined all the things of the above
don't you expect to make a phone call tonight
treat me like a motherfucker who is right

Oh I know we're gonna be the lucky ones

Every time the future comes into the past
I know you should sing about things that will last I got a prize in the neverneverland, took a tattoo and tried to make a new friend
you can see the ideas coming right through the glass
everyone sings about something that past
but I don't decide wether I can believe
take me to your bed and show me some trees
I can build a featherbird in your home
try to tell you that there's plenty to roam
you're like the blood that lives inside my bed
I need to tell you that you are not misled
oh I know we're gonna be the lucky ones

Some small differences here, so why not?

Well, every time you took me to the lies of your bed, You know I tried to do it every time that you read, But all of your words that came down like your spies, Trickled through the morphine and tried to make a crime. I don't expect to suggest that we're through, You know I can live without you if you do, But tell me that the temperature is rising in your head, Tell me the blood is not to be misled.

All these little boys coming through the cracks, Trying to pick up the things, performed all the slack. I've seen the broken fences right down to the line, Green like a mind that said it never was retired. I know, I know, I know it's true, All the things you thought about I want you to do, But when the clouds separated, in comes the sun, Hurry through the song that a girl once sung. She's the reason why I'm trying to make it alright, Trying to drive through to Croatia tonight. Wanna lie beside her with the wind in my hand, Trying to be a stereotype with a plan. But my love of god and my god is love, That's why you do with all the things of the above! Don't you expect to make a phone call tonight? Treat me like a mother** who is right.

Ooh, I know we're gonna be the lucky ones.

Every time the future comes into my past, I know you should sing about things that will last. I got a prize in Never Never Land, Took a tattoo and tried to make a new friend. You can see the ideas coming right through the glass, Everyone speaks about some things that they're past, But I don't decide whether I can believe, Take me to your bed and show me some trees. I don't like the feather bed in your home, Try to tell you that there's plenty to roam. You're like the blood that lives inside my bed, I'm not to tell you that you are not misled.

Ooh, I know we're gonna be the lucky ones.

"well everytime they took me" = "well everytime you took me" "to the rise of your bed" = "to the rise of your __" (sounds like "baby" to me) "you know what kind of doing at the top of your head but" = "you know i gotta do it ___ but"

"all the little words that came down like a spider" = "all the little words that came down like the spines" "trickle through the morpheme" = "trick come through the morphine" "try to make them cry" = "" "tell me that love is not to be this way" = "tell me the blood is not to be __"

"one of these little boys" = "all these little boys"

    "soon" = "it's true"

"all the things i thought about that i want you to do" all the things you though about what you been doing" "when the crying seperated in comes the sun" = "when the clouds separated in comes the sun"

"trying to be a stereotype with a friend" = "trying to be a stereotype with a plan" "but my love is gone and my god is low" = "my love is god and my god is love" "that's why i'm doing all the things that you don't know" = "that's why i'm doing all the things that the above" "treat me like a motherfucker who was right" = "treat me like a motherfucker who is right"

"ooh, i know we're gonna need a lucky one" = "ooh, i know i'm gonna be the lucky one"

"every time a creature comes into my path" = "every time your future comes into my past" "i know you should snigger about things that we laughed" = "i've known you should think about things don't last" "took a talk to him tried to make a make friend" = "took a tattoo and tried to make _____ be friend(s)" "but you can see that i'm just coming out through the glass" = something else "everyone speaks about something the past took" = something else "i came beside with it" = something else "you're like a brother who thinks i won't care i'm ready to tell you that you don't know what this is" = something else

"ooh, i know we're gonna need a lucky one" = "ooh, i know i'm gonna be the lucky one"

"i'm in respect to suggest that we're through" = sounds like "i don't expect to suggest that we're cool"

and last line is "i don't need to tell you that you are not mislead."

so many other lyrics are completely off but it's too late at night to decipher.

    this is what i hear:

well every time they took me to the rise of your bed you know i try to do it at the top of your head but all my little words that came down like the smiles trick them to the morphine try to make them cry but i don't expect to suggest that we're through you know i can live without you if you do but tell me that the temperature's rising in your head tell me the blood is not to be mislead

all these little boys coming through the cracks trying to pick up with ease, falling from the stars i can see the broken fences lying down on the yard green like the mom that said 'i never was retired'

i know, i know, i know it's true all the things you thought about what you could do when the clouds separate in comes the sun heard it through a song that a girl once sung she's the reason why i'm trying to make it all right trying to drive through the cold wishing tonight all my life was sad i've got the moon in my hands try to be a stereotype with a plan but

mom is the god and my god is love that's why i do it all the things to be above (?) don't you expect to make a phone call tonight treat me like a motherfucker who is right

ooh and i know we're gonna need a lucky one

everytime the future comes into my past i know you should sleep about things that won't last i have got a cause and never (?) took a tatoo and try to make a new friend but you can see the ivy coming up in the glass everyone speaks about something that passed but i don't which side that i can believe in take me to your bed and show me some treason

i can pay the phone bills you will hold try to fill you in where there is no one alone you're the one i got that tried to make a friend

i'll do the rest later g2g

    this is the rest:

i meant to tell you that you are not mislead

ooh and i know we're gonna be the lucky ones

that's just what i heard but mnlwnd and clockwrist could be right too, probably some combination of the different things everyone heard. it's pretty impossible to guess at the meaning because these lyrics could be interpreted in a lot of ways but maybe something about salvation, not necessarily in a religious way

    at the part...

"she's the reason why i'm trying to make it alright trying to drive through girl, wish it tonight"

I'm pretty sure he's saying "she's the reason why i'm trying to make it alright, trying to drive through to Croatia tonight"

Croatia is a place in Europe and it's pronounced "Kroh-ey-shuh"...so it makes sense.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
