"Desiree" as written by and Daniel Victor Snaith....
You told me things would have changed
And now we're back here again
You left me nowhere to start
And watch me falling apart

There's nothing left I can say
To stop it ending this way
I think you wanted me here
To watch it all disappear

Desiree, my mind's made up
Desiree, this can't go on
Desiree, my mind's made up
Desiree, you know we're not young

Desiree, my mind's made up
Desiree, this can't go on
Desiree, my mind's made up
Desiree, you know we're not young

General CommentYou're missing the first two lines:

You told me things would've changed
But now we're back here again

General CommentSounds like he's committed to her and wants to fix things for good but she's making it a little difficult with her games..

General Commentthey've worn out the words, talking and fighting about the relationship

all that's keeping the person is their heart. but the other person's not as into it and jerking them around.

and they are finally sayind yes to head and no to heart. and making the strong and most difficult decision.

also, i find this song has a nice elliot smith feel at the beginning.
