"Dancing in the Moonlight" as written by and Sherman Kelly....
Dancing In The Moonlight
King Harvest
(Sherman Kelly)

We get it almost every night
When that ol' moon gets-a big and bright
It's a supernatural delight
Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight

Everybody here is out of sight
They don't bark, and they don't bite
They keep things loose, they keep things light
Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight

Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight
Everybody's feelin' warm and right
It's such a fine and natural sight
Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight

We like our fun and we never fight
You can't dance and stay uptight
It's a supernatural delight
Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight

General CommentThis song is my absolute favorite song ever!
I see it as an innocent summer fling- it'd be a great outside prom song!

General CommentI used it for that exactly...after prom my girlfriend and I went to my driveway (which is in the country) and looked at the stars and I happened to have it on my phone so i played it. She went nuts for it. It was hella romantic

General CommentI don't want to listen to this song too much... I don't want to look at pictures of the band... I don't want to do any research... I don't want to figure it out... because the first 35 seconds or so are just magic...

Song MeaningThe song is an ode to marijuana, dancing in the moonlight is a reference to inebriation,
" Everybody here is out of sight
They don't bark, and they don't bite
They keep things loose, they keep things light
Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight

    Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight
    Everybody's feelin' warm and right
It's such a fine and natural sight
    Everybody's dancin' in the moonlight

We like our fun and we never fight
You can't dance and stay uptight
    It's a supernatural delight
Everybody was dancin' in the moonlight"

here we see the effects of marijuana, everyone is relaxed and having fun, you cant be high and stay uptight, its almost supernatural, the song also references the wide availability of marijuana in the 60's, " We get it almost everynight", all in all an awesome song
