"I Just Wasn't Made For These Times (the Beach Boys Cover)" as written by Brian Douglas Wilson and Tony Asher....
I keep looking for a place to fit
Where I can speak my mind
And I keep trying hard to find the people
That I won't leave behind
They say I got brains
But they ain't doing me no good
And I wish they could
Each time things start to happen again
I think I got something good going for myself
But what goes wrong?

Sometimes I feel very sad
Sometimes I feel so very sad
And I guess I just wasn't made for these times

Every time I get the inspiration
To go change things around
No one wants to help me look for places
That new things might be found
Where can I turn when my fair weather friends cop out
Tell me now what's it all about?
Each time things start to happen again
And I think I got something good going for myself
But what goes wrong?

Sometimes I feel very sad
And I guess I just wasn't made for these times.

    General CommentThis is so beautiful.
It's as if Patrick has climbed inside my body and sung out of my soul.
I know he didnt write this song and I haven't heard the original, but this is amazingly brilliant.
Patrick Wolf's voice (and himself for that matter) truly is gorgeousness and gorgeosity made flesh.
