You say you're in love
Well cursive wrote this sonnet to the end
You say you're in love
But this heart still can't pretend

Everything dressed in picturesque
We're so perfectly aligned
Will you come to me?
Will you come to me?

Kiss me quick, I'm losing
Well, can we live forever?

You say you're in love
Well, beauty slides this silhouette to screen
Will you come to me?
Will you come to me?

Kiss me quick, I'm losing
Well, can we live forever?
Kiss me quick, I'm losing
But I'm miserable still

She will love you through all the lies
She will love you through your disguise
She will love you through your demise
And sing our lives forever
Sing our lives together, won't you?

Can you take me back so far away?
Can you take me back so far away?

There's something left
There's something left to say
There's something left
You got something left to say

She will love you through all the lies
She will love you through your disguise
She will love you through your demise
Sing our lives forever
Sing our lives together, won't you?

She will love you through all the lies
She will love you through your disguise
She will love you through your demise
Sing our lives forever
Sing our lives together, won't you?

Could be another example of wiL using personification, like in Moment towards drugs. In this case music if thats what the article said, so basically he's saying no matter what he always ahs music to get him through, it can never judge him like everyone else does.

this song is about how no matter what this guy does, his friend who is a girl (not girlfriend) or is the girlfriend will love him all the way.

If it was the girl who was always the friend, will always be, she feels like she has to be there for him & will gladly be there for him. She loves him unconditionally, like a brother, like a lover. all these different kinds of love.

If it's his girlfriend, she love him no matter how bad he fucks up.

either way, it's about a guy who makes these mistakes & somehow the girl keeps on loving him, although he's flawed but he is amazing

to me this song sounds like it is about a couple, dude 1 and chick 1. and the song is from the perspective of chick 2, the typical best friend that happens to be a girl, or i guess it could even be a guy. anyway, the first verse says it all, "You say you're in love, Well cursive wrote this sonnet to the end. You say you're in love, but this heart still can't pretend."
that to me sounds like so you think you're in love but you dont know what love is cuz i sit here everyday loving you but because i love you so much i cant tell you. and then it goes on to say "but i'm miserable still" and despite how much she wants to be with him she still consoles him by telling him that his girlfriend will love him no matter what and at the exact same time she is describing her own feelings toward him.

she is just kinda waiting for him to wise up "Sing our lives forever, sing our lives together, won't you?"

jare56head. wow. that has to be the most amazing description of this song i've seen. I completely agree with you and it makes sense now after hours of listening to this song trying to "decode" the meaning. It's an amazing song none the less.

This song's actually about music, In an interview with Kerrang! wIL said he wrote it because music's the only thing that's been there all his life. I love this song cause music is a major part of my life, It's always there for you, Never lies, Makes you feel every emotion under the sun And I personally couldn't live without it.

I love this song so much... I heard it the first time on a John/Cameron video (from Terminator the Sarah Connor Chronicles) around 2008 and immidietly fell in love with it. It has been shuffling through my playlists ever since, and it has a special meaning for me. Back then I was very lonely and I hoped to find a girl that would love me unconditionally like the one in the song. Fortunately for me, I found her (well, she found me, to be honest) on April 24th, 2012, and we have been together ever since. I even introduced her to the song and translated the lyrics to her because she doesn't speak English. She said it has some beautiful words but it's not her style...

Incredible song I think its about how a guy keeps screwing up and lying and how his girlfriend still loves him through it all.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
