"Hollywood" as written by Wayne Anthony Hector, James Blount and Steve Robson....
As time was ticking
We were winning
And it all was going as planned
Politicians stand between the lines of making headlines
Street signs saying you're going the wrong way
Fading faster now

[Chorus]
You can try to break us
And make us fall apart
But the fires in our hearts
Reminisce on memories
Cause were gone
Don't forget to
Hold back your thoughts
And live like robots
Because you all know what goes on
Reminisce on memories cause were gone
Were gone so gone

Fallen soldiers all around us
But we're still standing strong
Barely seeing, contradicting
Cause now were making
Headlines prime time saying what a story
Billboards packed tours
Don't forget

[Chorus]

Game over
You're done
Outer left field
We won
Pack our bags
Yeah we'll run
Hollywood here we come

[Chorus:Repeat x2]

General CommentWow no comments? This is an extremely good song. Also veryyy mature of the jonas brothers.

What I get from this song is that you can't crash and burn them in any way because they have a passion for whatever you're trying to stop them from doing. And they're saying "live like robots" meaning, don't show your emotions and don't tell people what you're up to so that they can't correct and stop you from doing what you love.

General Commentwow, i LOVE this song, and them.

what i think they're tyring to get across is like that they have no time left really for the close friends because there going on like tours and all, but they always have them in there hearts, and they're always thinking of them.

General CommentThis song is about the boys growing up in Hollywood. When they changed record companies " Reminisce on Memories 'cause we're gone" is to their old company and pretty self explanatory i think.

" hold back your thoughts and live like robots" is to all the bands who do what other people say and not write the music for themselves, living like robots is like stating they are just like a manufactured piece by their record company.

Pretty much this entire song is stating how the Jonas Brothers are their own band, who make their own music and you can try to bash them or do whatever, but their going to strive until they're at the top.

General Commentthis song is about how columbia records terminated their contract by thinking there is never gonna be something of them, so they signed for hollywood records and now they are huge

General CommentAs time was ticking, we were winning
And it all was going as planned
    Politicians stand between the lines
    Of making headlines
Street signs saying, "You're going the wrong way"
    Fading faster now

TO ME THE FIRST PARAGRAPH MEANS THEY WERE GETTING WHAT THEY'D ALWAYS WANTED, AN ALBUM RELEASED HIGH SOCIETY AND PUBLICITY AND FAME. AND HOW THE POLITICIANS AND THE GOVERNMENT WERE DECIDING HOW PEOPLE HAD TO LIVE AND ACT TELLING PEOPLE WHAT TO THINK AND BELIEVE.

    Fallen soldiers all around us
    But we're still standing strong
    Embarrassing and contradicting
Cause now we're making headlines, primetime
    Saying, "What a story!"
    Billboards, packed tours
    Don't forget

EVEN THOUGH THE WAR IS GOING ON THEY'RE STILL GETTING ALL OF THE PUBLICITY AND LIVING THE DREAM, GOING ON TOUR SOLD OUT SHOWS, BILLBOARDS ALL OVER THE PLACE AND THEY'RE TELLING THEIR STORY YET THE PEOPLE WHO ARE FIGHTING TO MAKE A BETTER TOMORROW ARE BEING PUSHED ASIDE.

    And game over, you're done
(Baby, you're done; baby, you're done)
Out of left field we won
    (We won, we won)
    Pack our bags
    Yeah, we'll run
(We're gonna run; yeah, we're gonna run)
    Hollywood, here we come

THIS BASICALLY IS SAYING THAT THEY'RE NOT BEATEN AND NO MATTER WHAT THE MEDIA IS SAYING THEY'RE STRONGER THAN THEM.
    FINALLY, THE CHORUS

You can try to break us
    And make us fall apart
But the fire's in our hearts
Reminisce on memories, cause we're gone
    (We're gone)
Don't forget to hold back your thoughts
    And live like robots
Cause we all know what goes on
Reminisce on memories, cause we're gone
    We're gone, so gone

BASICALLY IT'S SAYING (TO ME) THAT NO MATTER WHAT THE MEDIA SAYS OR DOES THEY'RE STRONGER AND THEY'RE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT THEY'RE DOING THAT THEY WILL NOT BE BROKEN AND WILL REMAIN TO BE AS WHOLE AND ASSURED AS THEY ARE NOW.
"Reminisce on memories, cause we're gone
    (We're gone)
Don't forget to hold back your thoughts
    And live like robots"

AS IT WAS PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED I DO BELIEVE THAT THE QUOTED PART OF THE CHORUS REFERS TO THEIR DEPARTURE FROM THEIR OLD RECORD COMPANY AND THE SECOND PART IS ABOUT THE BANDS WHO DON'T RIGHT FOR THEMSELVES AND WILL BE EXACTLY WHAT THE RECORD COMPANIES AND MEDIA TELLS THEM TO BE (THIS COULD ALSO REFER TO A WIDER SCALE ABOUT CELEBRITIES IN GENERAL BEING MEDIA PUPPETS)

General CommentI think this song is about how they can avoid the temptations of Hollywood because they have a true passion in what they do, "the fire's in our hearts." They say that show business can try to make them fall apart, but they'll stay strong. And in the end, their passion is what will separate them from the rest of the crowd. When they sing, "Don't forget to hold back your thoughts/And live like robotsCause we all know what goes on," I think that they are sarcastically saying that everybody believes what they hear and don't wait for an explanation.

So, yeah, thats what I think :)
