"X-Mas In Hell" as written by and Darren Jay/sixx Ashba....
December twenty-fifth, nineteen eighty-six
Van Nuys.

Merry Christmas.

That's what people say at Christmas, right?
Except normally they have someone to say it to.
They have friends and family,
And they haven't been crouched naked under a Christmas tree
with a needle in their arm like an insane person in a mansion in Van Nuys.
They're not out of their minds, they're not writing in a diary,
And they're definitely not watching their holiday spirit coagulate in a spoon.
I didn't speak to a single person today.
I thought why should I ruin their fucking Christmas.

I've started a new diary and this time I have a few new reasons.
One, I have no friends left.
Two, so I can read back and remember what I did the day before.
And three, so if I die, at least I leave a nice little suicide note of my life.

It's just me and you, diary. Welcome to my fucking life.

Nobody would believe the shit that happens inside my head, it's haunted.
Now I've come down from the drugs
it seems like a sick play that I saw in a theater somewhere.
Thirty minutes ago, I could've killed someone.
Or better yet, myself.

General CommentWow, HeavyMetal69, you were awefully quick to jump down that other guy's throat, but stop and think about the song again. You might realize that you're a complete asshole and you're wrong. A lot of people turn to drugs like heroin to escape. Read more about him, he had a very fucked up past. Typically, the people who end up addicted to hardcore drugs had a bad upbringing and use it to escape. Nikki Sixx is one of the few and lucky people who were able to escape heroin. In most cases, once you start, you die a very young death.

General CommentEven if you don't bother to learn anything about Nikki, just reading the text of this song should give at least a *hint* that he was depressed:

"I didn't speak to a single person today. I figured why should I ruin their fucking Christmas."..."One, I have no friends left"
--He figures that no one cares about him anymore, and that he would ruin their day just by talking to them.
"If I die, at least I leave a nice little suicide note of my life."..."I could have killed someone. Or better yet, myself."
    --Suicidal usually = depressed.
I don't know how anyone could read this text and not come to that conclusion.

General Commentokay obviously none of you have read the book.
    he was depressed AND addicted.
he had a fucked up past, i.e. depressed.
so then he turned to drugs and became addicted!

great album, great book. really teaches you something about drugs.

General CommentLots of quotes from the book here actually. It's changed a bit/shortened though. The creepy christmas singing is very suiting lol. BTW, if you haven't read the book then go out and get it! It's fucking awesome!
