@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
( Verse 1 )
I will kiss
Every inch of this
Body from the outside in
And I will follow each kiss
With carickling finger tips
Making sure there’s not a spot that I missed
I will treat you well
Baby know that I always will
And I will always be head over heals
All I need is your sleepy smile
Brown eyes you can see for miles away
You know a day just wouldn’t be a day without you
( Chorus )
Sleep, beneath these sheets
In a basement room
I will stay with you
All my thoughts they are of you
I will stay with you
When it comes to love
Its not that hard to do
When its falling in love
With you
( Verse 2 )
Baby I will see you soon
A few hours past the afternoon
She lives between my heart and 2nd Avenue
I have waited so long
For someone like you to come along
I thought I’d never fall in love again
Thank god I was wrong
We danced underneath
And in the shadows of buildings of 6th street
Kissing in the rain
slides down the window pain
I think your picture belongs
In an art gallery
Coz you are more beautiful
Than I ever thought beautiful could be
( Chorus )
Sleep, beneath these sheets
In a basement room
I will stay with you
All my thoughts they are of you
I will stay with you
When it comes to love
Its not that hard to do
When its falling in love
With you
( B Section )
I will treat you well, always
I will treat you well, always
I will treat you well, always
I will treat you well
I will treat you well
I will treat you well
Always…
I will treat you well, always
Always…
I will kiss
Every inch of this
Body from the outside in
