Time, moves slowly while you're gone
I haven't heard your voice in quite some time
But I still see your face
I cannot erase the things you've done
And all the ways you kept me hangin' on

[Chorus]
Now your gone
I've moved on
And I don't feel so sorry
Can't you see I'm bleeding
But I won't bleed anymore
I've held on
For so long
But I had to let you go
At the end of our broken road

I know, it hurts to hear the truth
Well maybe
I was never meant to be with you
And I cannot replace
The tears of disgrace
That run for you
Cause running from the truth is what you do

[Chorus]

You were all I've ever known
And I cannot replace all these tears of disgrace
And I won't bleed for you anymore

[Chorus]

And I won't bleed for you anymore
I've moved on
And I won't bleed for you anymore
I'm bleeding but I won't bleed anymore

I've held on
For so long
At the end of our broken road

I can't believe no one posted yet on this song. I bought the cd because I loved Lie To Me but after hearing this song, it has become my favorite. To me this is a perfect "end of a relationship" song. I think it talks of the feeling of relief, like truely accepting that things are over and that it's okay to look at that person in a bad light, it's okay to remove them from the pedestal you had put them on. Just because you feel anger doesn't necessarily mean you hate them. It's okay that you don't see them the same way anymore. Just my opinion.

To me this song is about letting go. In the chorus: Now you're gone I've moved on and I don't feel so sorry can't you see I'm bleeding but I won't bleed anymore I've held on for so long now but I had to let you go at the end of our broken road

saying that shes gone he's moved on and hes not sorry anymore and he won't grieve over her anymore hes been doing that to long and he just had to let her go at the end of this long hard road that hes been walking. I also agree with fides75 on this.

To me this song is about Loving someone so much it hurts to let them. He knows he has to let her go because they both know they'll never be together again. I can totally relate to this song in every way.. "I've held on for so long now but i had to let you" is saying that he hasnt let her go yet but now he's realizing that he has to move on to be happy again. I feel like this song was just made for me. Im sure a lot of other people feel like this too when they listen to it. Its the perfect break up song... Or moving on song... I miss him.. But just like this song says.. "I had to let you go at the end of our broken road" ......

i think "end of our broken road" is a metaphor for the relationship he had with his gf.. i think he's saying he moved on but deep down he misses her, but he knows its time to let her go because their "road" is "broken" and he can't fix it, no matter how much he would try to, or want to, he cant fix it

This song always makes me think about my best friend I've ever had. It's from when I was younger and he kinda tought me how to do stuff. But he's gone now... And this song has helped me move along from being so sad about it. I still think about him (my friend) and when I'm upset I always pretend he is there and I talk to him. It always helps me.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Midnight
Ed Sheeran
“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms. “Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
